Syed, Christian, Zainab, Masood, Tamwar, Fatboy, Denise, Kym, Roxy, Tanya, Ray, Jean and Lucy. Danny isnt a regular so cant really count him or the small kids. Does anyone else think this is really bad?

I am all for Eastenders doing weeks of episodes featuring just a small portion of the cast (remember the Stacey/Chrissy/Pat, Frank week) but only if the storylines call for it. I also dont mind that the Masoods dominated the week as they have had a fairly quiet year so deserve some screentime but what I dont like is how everyone else on the square seemed to vanish, it was a Civil Partnership featuring two of the shows characters, something that had never been seen before, I was disapointed that more of the cast werent seen.

For example the Hen and Stag parties in the Vic on Monday, where was Kat and Alfie?, a few years ago you would usually see the likes of Peggy featuring in the background or having some minor role to play as she ran the Vic but they were no where to be seen in what was a big night in the Vic. Then the Partnership on the Tuesday, I know they said they were gonna keep it small but where was Tanya?, she came to the stag party the night before, where was Ian?, him and Christian used to be related, where were the likes of Cora, Patrick, Lauren and Tyler etc giving some view or opinion on two men having a civil Partnership, if this had been done a few years ago there would have been a scene like that showing other character's reactions to an event like this. I agree the show has got slightly better in having a more community feel like the aftermath of Ben's murder reveal and recently Lexi being taken into care but it annoys me how we didnt see more characters featured.

I am guessing that sadly this is out of Lorraine Newman's hands as its probably down to BBC budget cuts that we are seeing less speaking characters appearing but its a real shame, I know many may not care but it was always the one EE used to do really well at

I hated block storytelling, they tried to phase it out somewhat but it seems like its back with a vengence, its lazy, boring and frustrating.

At times last week I just thought 'meh I could skip these episodes, I know Chryed are leaving so why do I really care bout seeing Syed shout at everyone with one eye big and one eye small o.O like he does?!'

Its sad where the show has got to the point where if you know its a certain families week you can just turn off, pick it up again a week later when a story/family you do like is featured...

Quite a part from the fact that its incredibly stupid to just imagine that everyone else's stories are on pause and nothing eventful at all is happening with them :/
