Ok guys need some advice here please...looking to make a purchase and would like to hear opinions. I have 2 sim free phones in mind..the GNex and Razr i

GNex:

Love the simple design
Love the screen quality/clarity
Love the audio quality via headphones
Love the pure Android feel + it is right up to date (jelly bean 4.1.2
Love replaceable battery
Love the price (£290)

Hate plasticy finish
Hate battery life
Hate 12gb only no sd card slot

Dont care much for the size (a bit big for a 'phone')
Dont care much for the camera

RAZR i

Love the build quality/finish
Love the form factor/size
Love the battery life
Love the screen
Love the 32gb sd card slot
Love the camera/dedicated camera button
Love the price (£303)

Hate the audio quality compared to the Gnex
Hate it is only running ics with no confirmed date for jelly bean. that 'hanging on' for the next update is not so nice :yawn
Hate non removeable battery so just how long do these batteries last before they need replacing?

Dont care too much for the audio quality compared to the Gnex
Don't care too much for the Moto skinning

I'm leaning towards the RAZR i largely because of the form factor/size and sd card slot but then annoyingly the audio quality via headphones is not upto par with the Gnex. I'd score the Gnex 8/10 on audio quality and the RAZR i 6/10. If the RAZR was on par with the Gnex I'd gor for the RAZR i hands down.

The Gnex is 1yr old with older tech and no sd card slot so I'd have to keep juggling my music content.

What do you guys think? RAZR i or GNex?

You have very specific issues with each phone so any advice really is only going to be from someones personal phone preference, you have enough there to make a decision be a man

TechRadar give it 4.5/5, however they say it has bad vibration and relatively poor pixel density. Whites also appear quite yellowy. The UI is very nice though - like stock Jelly Bean but better.

i know i'm such a wuss!

i've got both of them here and love loads of things about both of them! but it is what i love more that is proving difficult to decide if the google music app played gapless correclty rather than not at all, then i could cherry pick my music from the google music online server and the 12gb Gnex would not be a problem.

poweramp solves the gapless problem but it does not read the google music files that are stored on the phone. i could bypass google music and load music in the normal way and have poweramp on the gnex but then i'd still have the storage juggling problem. the price point for both is attractive.

do you have another phone in mind?

I was going to recommend the Galaxy S2 having had one myself, however the screen is not as good as the Nexus, obviously, and is marginally worse than the RAZR i. That said, it's still a good phone and is definitely getting Android 4.1.1 [November according to Samsung Sweden].

Sorry to revive such an old post, but if you were to make the same choice today, would you still make the same choice?
