They also have a book out at the moment, unfortunately getting ignored for the likes of Cheryl and Tulisa's books, but its a great read, and really shows that've been through so much that (mostly) hasn't been in the public eye, yet they're still seen as genuine, likeable down to earth guys!

And as you said Dan: underrated!
Although they'll always be top band to me

Yeah it sure is. The Book is doing well though as it's now being called a 'Best Seller' as a Mcfly from almost from the start (2004) i thought i knew pretty much everything about them but the AutoBiography reveals all and im glad they felt that telling the truth was the right way

Same, and I agree. They always give so much to the fans anyway, and I think it's the right time to give the facts from their sides (eg, the truth about Dougie being in rehab)

From some of the sings we've heard the album has the wonderland/Radio:ACTIVE sound
Mcfly have played a couple of songs on their LIVE shows.
'Red' seems very popular and Do what Ya Want is on the Greatest Hits album.

Touch the Rain is also very Mcfly

You can get all the LIVE versions of these songs on you tube

Red's brilliant ... Only heard it online as was unfortunaly unable to go see them live this time
I have seen them live around 7/8 times before though!

[Slight book spoiler alert!!!!]

It's interesting what you said Bex about Above the Noise being awful, as the band themselves weren't 100% happy with it. I do love it myself though, as I'm quite into that sound aswell, so it worked for me

I highlighted this release in the McFly Appreciation Thread and am looking forward to hearing their new single. I still have a soft spot for 5 Colours in Her Hair and All About You after all these years.

I've missed McFly. Really like the sound of Love Is Easy. Sounds like old-school McFly. Suprised they're doing another Greatest Hits, but not going to complain.

Have the book, haven't got round to reading it yet. I did take a sneak peak at Dougie's chapter though

I think the greatest Hit's is kind of just a way to close the first Chapter
and ties in well with the AutoBiography too.

The Video gets it's first play tomorrow morning on VEVO
go to @Mcflymusic on twitter for more

There's a webchat with Tom after the video has aired also

I totally agree with both of you. They're really talented and are really nice people as well! I took my sister to see their last tour and they were so good live.

Yeah. Comparing this GH to the first GH, this seems much more like a GH, if that makes sense? The album cover, the amount of songs, the b-sides and demos included too, plus like you say, the autobiography being out as well. The first GH seemed like it was an album because the record company wanted to release one. It was far too soon for a GH then IMO.

Music video for Love Is Easy

The message at the end got me a bit emotional tbh!

Love the video, represents the song nicely and is fun, very much old school McFly

Yeah. It's fun and there's a nice trip down memory lane. Something from Each year of Mcfly so far.

Mcfly didn't want to release a GH back in 2007 but Island Records wanted them too. This is why they left Island to set up their own label. They always wanted a Hits Package after the 5th album.

It's been a long time, but the new track feels like the return of the 'real' McFly, and it's all the better for it.

Fingers crossed they've got their experimental generic auto-tuned boybland phase out of their system now and they can go back to making good music!

In their Autobiography they state how they wasn't happy with 'Above The Noise' and thats not the sound they have taken with the new album (due for release summer 2013)

Thing is i think 'Shine a light' is one of Mcfly's most well known songs (it's their second biggiest seller EVER) so it's not all bad. I regard that as a Classic mcfly tune too.

Mcfly will appear on Radio1 with Scott Mills on Wednesday at 3:00pm where 'Love Is Easy' will get it's radio1 Debut
