Any development that reduces the amount of tat shopping/slappers is most welcome news, Dancc, and thank you for posting it.

I guess Channel 5 decided that there were sufficient numbers of people watching to be able to justify extending the channel's hours.

As Topup TV channel 6 timeshares this space with 5USA does anyone know if there will be a knock on effect reducing TopUp TV's service further?

It only timeshares 4am-6am so no effect on TUTV.

Only asking as my 14 day TUTV guide shows no new programs for TVBox after Sunday so I wan't sure if there would be a knock on effect. (That is the info you get hitting the TUTV button on the remote when on a particular day)

The actual 14 day EPG shows at 5 am each of the next relevant episodes of the program with the correct write up until next Friday.

May have something to do with the clocks going back and may correct on Monday or Saturday it's just a pain as it was Oct last year that a raft of services went on TUTV and I really was hoping the service wouldn't be reduced any further at least not until the current batch of shows on TVBox finished.

I'm such a moaner aren't I.

I'd prefer "Midnight" and "Noon" to onsreen slides showing 12 a.m. and 12 p.m., but 5USA sticks to its guns....

Well I know why TV Box on TUTV is blank the company is trying to agree a new deal with Universal so have had to suspend programme broadcasts until they are able to agree it.

Seems reasonable just a pain that it had to happen right now in the middle of about four series I'm watching on this provider.

I just hope that they can do a deal and continue broadcasting as TVBox is really rather good for those of us who still use TUTV.
(I know the above dosen't have anything to do with 5USA but after channel 5+1 went live TUTV lost most of it's GOLD programming so thought this might have the same effect)

Must admit I'm surprised that there are enough viewers for 5USA to extend for the extra hours each day but I suppose they know what they are doing.

Shame they could throw in a kids cartoon spot for a couple hours in the mornings even if it was only over the holidays to pick up extra viewers until freeview broadcasting starts at 1 pm.

Sadly the increase in 5USA hours seems to be at the expense of the main C5 service, as SuperCasino starts running right through to 6am from 11th November.

That would explain the add onto to 5USA, they save money and airtime on the main channel to cover the extra programmes broadcast on this one.

Then again I suppose they had to juggle things around somehow.

Pity, for a second it looked as if Channel 5 was flowering at last.
