Grr! Just watched the results show on the ITV Player - I already knew and was delighted with the result of MK1 leaving but I enjoy watching the performances regardless...well, except for one!

I've been wanting to hear Script songs on the show all series, especially for Kye as they would suit his voice well. What I have not been wanting to hear all series is MK1's attempt at The Script as I'm such a big Script fan and not MK1's biggest fan on earth.

My mum said "at least they're being original" but she hasn't heard N-Dubz's version. Sim's rap was original (though it detracted from the song's magic) but Charlie's vocals were tuneless and out of time.

Anyone else seen one of their favourite songs murdered on the show, this year or any other year?

xxxx

The entire ABBA night, during the Leona season..

How Bjorn sat through it all is beyond me..but then, I'm wary of anyone ever doing ABBA, simply because nearly every version of any of their songs, with the exception of Sinead O'connor's "Chiquitita," and Blancmange's "The Day Before You Came," I've ever heard have been pretty dire.

Rich.

Titanium is a pretty ace song. Such a shame then that Lucy violated it like Jimmy Saville at a Mini Pops* concert.

*ask your parents or Wikipedia.

Storm Lee? That was exactly what I was going to say. Oh God, it was terrible.... on a motorcycle and everything.

Janet Devlin - "Every Breath You Take" (The Police)

I'm not going to lie, she was almost worthy of incarceration after destroying that legendary song. One of the partial reasons that I stopped tuning in.

Lucie Jones - "Sweet Child O' Mine" (Guns N' Roses)

As much as I like Lucie, her voice is not suited for rock-oriented songs. She was completely unable to reach the high notes that Axl Rose hits with pure ease.

Aiden Grimshaw & The Risk - "Thriller" (Michael Jackson)

The arrangements of Aiden's version was terrible, he was completely off-key, shaky and all over the place. As for the Risk, too inferior to sing the song adequately.

Katie Waissel - "Help!" (The Beatles)

Marcus Collins - "Can You Feel It" (Michael Jackson)

Rachel Hylton - "Dirty Diana" (Michael Jackson)

Storm Lee - I remember his BTR performance, he could sing but that wasn't his finest hour!

I'm a big ABBA fan but I thought Eton Road did really well that night, my other fave Nikitta struggled though. How about other versions of those songs such as Marcus's Superstition and James's No More Drama? Even Jahmene's Titanium at judges' houses?

Lol at the Jimmy Saville comment!

Interesting. I don't often listen to broadcast radio and when I do it tends to be radio 6 or the rock stations, but right now I'm stuck in a hotel room listening some local Manchester station which seems to play non-stop commercial pop and David Guetta's version of Titanium is currently playing. Up until now, I have only ever heard it sung on X-Factor, though several times. Personally, I don't think the Guetta version is as good as Jahmene's or Lucy's.

I wouldn't say that Impossible is my favourite song, but watching Luke Lukas violate, torture and brutally murder it was more than I could take (judges houses last year).I literally had to mute the tv for that one.

Not gonna be popular for this one, but Cher Lloyd completely butchered 'stay' with that weak, warbly vocal performance.

I can't remember the performances but if I remember correctly series one and two BOTH had someone getting eliminated in week 1 after singing "Superstar".

Quite, I mean the only thing that was in tune was the background music.
