What am I blabbing about?! How polite. I was responding to the post I quoted, that's generally how a forum works. I was giving another suggestion as to why someone might have an issue with being called gay.
In your opinion, they're the only reasons. Yes, there are a million worse things that you could be called, I'm not insinuating that being called gay is an insult. I am straight, and have absolutely no issue with gay people, but if people were constantly saying I was gay and gossiping about it, despite me saying I was straight and living my life like a straight person, I'd probably have an issue with it because they would be calling me a liar, and I'm not a liar. Just because you don't have an issue with it, doesn't mean others won't or aren't allowed to.
For example, I'm a Supernatural fan, and there are sections of that fanbase that genuinely think/thought that Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are in a relationship, despite both being married to women, and having children, and nothing previously ever suggesting they are gay. Some fans have now moved on to suggesting that Jensen and their other co-star, Misha Collins, are in a relationship (Misha is also married with children) There are fans who call Jensen homophobic because he doesn't like to entertain those rumours at fan conventions. Surely as a happily married straight man, he is allowed to have an issue with being called a liar? Because these apparent fans of his are calling him exactly that.
