More viewers than any other show on the network (figures from the end of S9), so the network is happy to keep it.

I saw an interview with Kelly Brooks other half David Mckintosh, and couldn't believe how camp he came across. I don't think he's gay at all, but it did surprise me how limp wristed he was

Mostly, I think, although I've always said that I wouldn't be that surprised if there was some truth in the rumours about her and Edith Bowman (not that that would in itself make either of them gay, even if it was true, obviously).

Yeah it always baffles me how if someone is in a relationship with a member of the same sex people automatically assume they are gay.

I've said it before, but the media don't seem to appreciate that bisexuals exist.

This thread is so long and so full of debate/ arguments and repetition I think it is a good idea to get back on track and more to the point.

1 thing I suggest to do is study the Dating History of the chosen suspected closeted celeb/s:

I go onto dating.famousfix.com but you can choose any method you like.

Eg. Fred Durst ( who it was eventually discovered was definitely into men) dated a lot of female celebs.

Dating History tells you nearly everything you need to know.

Also have any of you read Wendy Williams' list of celebs online?

Finally zetaboards have 2 long lists of both male and females suspected celebs in the closet. Not that many who have been mentioned on here. ( Mainly Hollyweird stars and I can this thread is concentrating on a lot of UK celebs so that maybe a reason)

Anyway dating history is more helpful for checking and cross referencing.

Zeta boards is hilarious. Any female or male celebrity is deemed gay or deemed to have gay "rumours", which the poster themselves just made up. Apparently they haven't heard of two men or two women actually being friends

I don't know about that. If the gossip was New York centric i might believe it.

Could be worse. Reminds me of 1) Courtney Love claiming to have slept with Kate Moss and 2) Kathy Griffin claiming to have slept with Padma Lakshmi.

Look at the Dating History and it all becomes clear.

It is not hard work at all. It is literally just a click on each face.

I could believe that Kate Moss and Courtney Love have slept with each other, yes, but Courtney is hardly the mostly reliable source. Same goes for Kathy Griffin, but I believe her less in that case, because I think Padma Lakshmi is straight.

I didn't believe a lot too. Then I started looking at it and some of the biggest married with children names started coming up.

My heart has been in my mouth looking. Some really big names keep coming up.

The options are that these people are:
1. Gay or bisexual
2. Hiring or being hired as an escort or beard to protect or accompany the other person.

However, once you look further it also looks like many of them too are being protected
( ie it works both ways) which suggests mutual bearding.

Certainly some of it is likely to be true. That doesn't, in itself, mean all of it is though. Some of it is probably people misreading things and some of it may well be wishful thinking.

Of the ones that keep coming up: I can believe that Cheryl Cole is bisexual, but I think the Chim shippers are ridiculous; I think there's a pretty good chance Taylor Swift is gay, and if she's not then she has some quite odd relationship issues going on; I wouldn't be surprised if Cat Deeley and Edith Bowman slept together, but I don't think either is actually gay (and as an add-on, I don't think Patrick Kielty is gay either); I think Cara Delevigne is gay, regardless of her claiming to be bi; Some of the rumours about various action movie stars (Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, The Rock, etc) are at least vaguely believable, but there's not all that much evidence for them; Same goes for various footballers, who I wont name due to a couple of them suing people in the past (the exact rumours that caused the suing seem a bit outlandish, to be fair though).

If you go through my posts, you will also see that I have a few of my own rather wacky theories lol.

Well, back in the old days it was much easier to spot a gay because of the trials of suspects headed by the Gay Finder General. There were tests to see if someone was a gay. One was to throw them in a lake and if they drown they were innocent - or only bisexual - but if they floated they were definitely a gay and forced to go around the town to tell people to shut their doors.

Another test was seeing if they weighed the same as a duck. If they didn't then they were hanged for maybe lying about their weight. But if they did weigh the same as a duck then they had to go around with a sign with the words 'I'm a duck' around their necks and told to declare themselves with a quacking noise whenever they entered a room. This is where the old term, 'ducky' in reference to a gay comes from. It's true. Utterly true. Absolutely definite historical fact.*

But that was in the old days. Thankfully people have moved on from such hysterical hunting of innocent people in the 21st century.
