Yes, look at the way they both look off screen (presumably to their manager/minders after he says that, I think it was done on purpose - whether it was a publicity stunt or his way of 'coming out' I don't know, I would guess at the latter as they both looked they both looked very nervous afterwards.

What teenage boy is best friends with an openly gay male in his 30's?

Whilst it's no proof that Harry is gay, i would not be surprised in the slightest

The thing is, people project things. Harry says he is straight, people say he is lying. If harry said he is bisexual, people would say he is lying and is really gay. If he said he was gay, people would say he is really bi or straight blah blah.

The point is, only the individual can say what they are and people who don't know anything about them calling them a liar? Bizarre.

Can I just say, as a gay man myself I find this thread absolutely unbelieveable. Some of the assumptions people here are making about others and some of the things that people are coming out with are beyond ridiculous. Some of you really have lived such sheltered lives. I mean seriously, thinking somone is gay because of the way they dress..."they need to stop this charade". Seriously, get a life!! I have met so many different types of people in my life...lesbians who fit the lesbian stereotype, lesbians who look like bloody Megan Fox, gay men who fit the stereotype, gay men who don't meet the stereotype whatsoever and who you would never guess were gay. I've meet gay people, lesbians, transexuals, drag queens, hermaphrodite's. People here need to expand their bloody minds and stop living such sheltered lives and judging people. It's seriosuly rude and this thread is actually very offensive - "he needs to stop the charade"...who earth are you to be saying things like that about someone's who sexuality you don't even know. People here really do need to start getting out there and leading more exciting lives, because from this thread, it's obvious people have been living under a rock.

About Harry Styles we just have to look in his twitter. Some weeks ago he posted lyrics from a Mary Lambert song about coming out. He became involved in the NFL's Sam Michael situation, wearing his jersey and exchanging tweets with him, etc. It's more than showing support, it always has been.

About Louis well... call it gaydar, call it whatever you like, it's really obvious. And he knows it's obvious and he wants it to be. I'm sure he would be more than out already if it was for him. The guy seems seriously fed up with the situation and with a lot of things about being in One Direction (go watch that video of him smoking with Zayn mocking 1D merchandise...).

This guys have outgrown One Direction and realizing the power they have, they won't take bullshit for much longer.

PS:
Going back some years... yes, straight teen stars today act bromanc-y on purpose for publicity but what kind of straight teen boys say this things?

Don't be so silly. If you watch and listen to Harry you'd know he's the most intelligent and mature in the group. He gets on better with older adults. Nick Grimshaw being gay doesn't mean a thing. Harry's just an old soul.

Anyone any thoughts on Nick Jonas?

He is straight. He has a girlfriend, not that it means anything on here. There is no reason to think he is gay, but he seems pretty gay friendly which is cool.

It's not unusual for closest gay men (especially in the entertainment industry) to have girlfriends. That alone means nothing.

I don't think Nick Jonas is necessarily gay though. More likely that Joe Jonas is.

Nick Jonas isn't gay, he just knows what side his bread is buttered on.

I just watched that first interview. I cannot believe that interviewer asked them both that innuendo laden question about whos in front and whos behind. No wonder they are both fed up. Even if they are a couple, how intrusive and inappropriate?

Also I wouldn't say it was proof of anything between them, the interviewer put them on the spot and they joked along with it. I wouldnt have blamed them if they had completely shut down and given one word answers for the rest of it.

I think it's a real shame he can't come out as bi/gay these days I read a blind gossip thread saying he apparently wanted to come out but management won't allow it.
hopefully five ten years from now he will have the freedom to do so.

It's virtually unheard of for someone to come out as bi and be applauded for it. It's either "gay and unable to fully admit it" (usually for a man) or "just doing it for attention" (usually for a woman)”

Yup, being bi is seen as "tiptoeing out the closet" "attention seeking" and "a phase", and with Jessie renouncing her alleged bisexuality and Tom (and iirc that bloke from Blue) calling themselves gay now, it doesn't do a lot for the bi community.

He's the only straight one out of the three Seriously though he is just thirsty for his album to sell. Sex sells. He's just branching out a bit by trying to appeal to gay men.

well that would be a first. Care to name a male celebrity who said they were gay and people said they were lying? I don't think it's ever happened.

Yeah, i should've mentioned Duncan as well. He recently said "i could still be attracted to a woman sexually and romantically, but i sleep with men so that makes me gay"

Another incredibly bi-phobic attitude imo

Extremely. I now sleep exclusively with a man, the man I married. Doesn't mean I now identify as straight.

One of the silliest examples of trying to prove someone is gay I have ever seen on this thread. They were all at the time of filming teenage boys who where playing along with rude innuendo laden jokes.
