Can I just say, as a gay man myself I find this thread absolutely unbelieveable. Some of the assumptions people here are making about others and some of the things that people are coming out with are beyond ridiculous. Some of you really have lived such sheltered lives. I mean seriously, thinking somone is gay because of the way they dress..."they need to stop this charade". Seriously, get a life!! I have met so many different types of people in my life...lesbians who fit the lesbian stereotype, lesbians who look like bloody Megan Fox, gay men who fit the stereotype, gay men who don't meet the stereotype whatsoever and who you would never guess were gay. I've meet gay people, lesbians, transexuals, drag queens, hermaphrodite's. People here need to expand their bloody minds and stop living such sheltered lives and judging people. It's seriosuly rude and this thread is actually very offensive - "he needs to stop the charade"...who earth are you to be saying things like that about someone's who sexuality you don't even know. People here really do need to start getting out there and leading more exciting lives, because from this thread, it's obvious people have been living under a rock.

Human beings speculate on everything , everyday, why is it a problem ? If its upsetting you so much and making you feel so bad , i suggest not reading it . |

People need to stop harassing celebrities when it comes to this issue. Some people can say they are straight a million times and people will choose not to believe them. It's pathetic. Why would you so obsessively desire that person to be gay anyway?
I'm no fan of Louis Tomlinson, but no wonder he gets so upset. First of all he is called a liar based on nothing but the fantasies of crazed fangirls, and much more seriously his girlfriend and his family have been subject to so much abuse about it. It's awful. If people hounded gay celebrities, whining about how they are liars and are really straight, all whilst harassing their loved ones, people would rightly call it homophobic and label it abuse. |

This thread needs to get back on track, so probably back to basics:
Colton Haynes. |

In other news, Louis Tomlinson completely flipping out over that Apple t-shirt when they didn't even say anything about HIM, only that he was supporting Tim Cook speaks volumes IMO. Self hate is very sad. |

You are pathetic. He has spent the past four years being told he is lying about his sexuality and seeing his family and girlfriend being sent abuse. But of course someone like you would try and say him being annoyed is proof he is gay. Stop trying to tell someone who they are, you would call it homophobic if someone did it to you.
Also, for my two cents - he is incredibly camp. I don't think the gay rumours are unfounded but I feel for the lad if he is either a) in denial or b) being forced to keep it quiet. Of courses there always option c) that he isn't gay at all (which is possible, not all camp guys are gay) but the law of averages suggests there's always one

For what it's worth, Louis' most recent tyrade at this journalist is a bit silly. I get that he's had years of bother about this but he's called this one wrong. The journalist is right - she suggested nothing about his sexuality, merely commented on his sexualty. In biting like he did, he's made himself look like a bit of an idiot and is just fuelling the fire that he has something to hide.

He has a girlfriend. If he gets annoyed about being hounded by people calling him a liar and posting vile messages to his girlfriend and family, including death threats, that isn't adding fuel to the fire. It's a normal response. It's like a witch hunt and it's depressing how people can't see how unfair it is. It's got nothing to do with their being anything wrong with being gay. But the Larry fans aren't progressive anyway. They simply just don't want either boy with a girl who isn't the, and have concocted this ludicrous fantasy. They even had a theory that Eleanor was actually triplets for heavens sake. Any article giving credence to these theories deserves to be chastised ![]() ![]() Honestly, him being called homophobic because of this is beyond absurd. He has done nothing wrong, and this is coming from someone who can't stand him. |

No, it's because there were some ridiculous articles written about "Larry" after that picture came out.

He may not be homophobic but he hasn't done a good job of proving that. The way he has reacted has made me lose a lot of respect for him. Maybe he's had so many rumours he's just ready to explode. He should know by now that this sort of Tweet will cause the target to receive abuse. That is what is more worrying to me than his possible homophobia.

To be honest (& I'm not just saying this because DS members like to exaggerate), it really would not surprise me one bit if Harry or Louis were gay (not together, separately lol).
Harry keeps giving tons of hints to being at least bisexual and Louis' constant acknowledgement of every report that suggests his sexuality is extremely baffling. If you're straight, great (rhymes). The thing is, if in say 5-10 years time Louis decides to comes out (IF he is gay) he will face a backlash due to the constant denying. |

Perhaps she was wrong, but Louis's response was totally uncalled for. He looks like an ass. Really not crying for him either: some celebrities have had speculation for ten years and they handle it like adults. |

But it's 2014, which man even gets offended if people call him gay! Some people who know me think I'm driving every bus or have no idea which one, but I couldn't care less. Also, these people are in showbiz, the gayest profession in the world!

If someone is a Manchester United supporter and someone claims that they prefer Manchester City, they'd probably be quick to make the correction. Completely different situation, but the concept is identical - why would you let someone think you support City when you actually support United? The person might even get offended by being called a City supporter, but that doesn't mean that he's disgusted by people that choose to support them. It's extremely difficult in this day and age for people in the public eye to defend anything about their lives - because for every 10 people that believe the truth, there's at least another 10 people that think they're lying. The best option is to just not discuss it, but then whenever they try to correct rumours that aren't true, people are quick to claim that the person is being too defensive and ask why they're offended by the rumours. However, they're usually just correcting information, not making any judgements about the situation. |

There's a difference between being offended and just wanting people to have the correct information. If someone is defensive about their sexuality and claims to be straight, it's probably true 99% of the time. So if someone calls them gay and they're quick to correct the person, it doesn't automatically mean that they're 1) trying to cover up that they're gay, or 2) are offended by the suggestion - it usually just means that they want the correct information to be known.

It's also really not hard to show the world if you're straight, having a partner or getting married clarifies it extremely easily so it's not possible to not discuss sexual preferences, they really are over reacting if they get upset that people speculate otherwise sending a message of "how dare you think I am gay? I could never be that!" which looks offensive even though it's not really offensive. |

Colton Haynes. Louis Tomlinson should get a few ideas about what not to do with Colton's situation. I followed Teen Wolf closely and I have a very good impression of Colton. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy. I don't know if he's gay but the evidence seems to indicate so. He changed his attitude entirely since and he's been way more positive about the issue, he participated in a lot of campaigns and stuff, he just doesn't talk about his life because why would he? The highlight of it all has to be John Barrowman forcing him to holds hands with him when he saw the paparazzi: http://www.buzzfeed.com/lyapalater/c...at-the-airport |

I don't know if you followed (or how many times was it discussed lol) Colton's shitstorm some years ago with deleting all the gay photos from the internet but I think that was one of the biggest examples of terrible PR work and how much getting the wrong people to look after you might lead to you looking like an ass.
