It's starting to look more and more likely Taylor Swift is a lesbian. Why else would she enter into all these PR stunt relationships with men who have question marks over their sexuality? I have to say her team have done a dreadful job with covering up both hers and the mens alleged sexual orientations. Taylor Swift being a beard has become synonymous with her at this point.

This thread is such a joke. There is nothing wrong with speculation, but most of it is ridiculous. How can it be "obvious" when these people are strangers to you

The posters claiming every celeb is gay being gay themselves? Coincidence? I think not

Basically to some of you:
Single= gay
married/dating= gay

Of course not. It was just out of curiosity. I was expected more "I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Daley was gay comments", not the ridiculous comments about him and others clearly being gay.

If you are in the closet, no one knows for sure you are gay. It's not a fact. Believe me, I was in there for years. Therefore this thread just smacks of wishful thinking. Well she started out in Country, which is notoriously right-wing and red state and which would be your entire reason for bearding or covering up if so, from a young age.

I don't think all the chaps she's bearded for have been about classic 'bearding'. I think Mayer and Kennedy were probably more image-related/publicity hookups and Gyllenhaal/Lautner/Styles were for more orientation reasons and perhaps a little publicity too. That's my guess.

True, Chely wright came out eventually though (admittedly she's no where near as famous as Taylor), and IIRC the Dixie Chicks are in favour of gay marriage (I don't think any of them are gay though), as is Dolly Parton*, so it's not as conservative as it used to be I don't think.

But then recently Carrie Underwood spoke of her support for gay marriage and got a ton of abuse from her own fans. I remember reading comments from her 'former fans' on articles about it saying how disappointed they were with her, how they would never buy her music again and they were getting rid of all the CDs they owned, that she was going to hell just like the gays etc. The Westboro Baptist Church, in their infinite wisdom, blamed her for the Sandy Hook Shooting, saying it was revenge for her supporting gay rights.

There's plenty of bigotry, prejudice and ignorance still around in Country music and fans of it. It's sad but not unexpected, as the other poster stated, the fans are mostly always in Red states.

It seems to vary among fanbases whether they accept it or not. I think it is gradually getting better generally, if a little slower in country music.

Taylor Swift is barely country now anyway.
