I would have thought 'hounding' was idiotic fangirls screaming in, say, Harry Styles' face while he tries to eat at P.izza Hut. Or inbreds that go through celebrities rubbish bins or who stalk them in their homes. Not speculation on a thread.

It's a pity there should be any pressure on him -- I bet he feels freer in London, and I have wondered whether that's why he came here. Whatever. It's this country's gain.
Talking of hounds, I have heard rumours about Uggie, who played Jack in the film The Artist. What a pity he has retired. (Actually a terrier rather than a hound.)

Being tolerant of something essentially means you put up with it. it doesnt mean you accept it. I'm more offended by people who say they tolerate gay people than those who are openly homophobic.
