BIB I never said that.

If I like a person, it's not an issue for me. If I don't like a person, it's also still not an issue for me because I wouldn't care. Because of the way society still regards someone's sexuality as a major thing (case in point, this thread), I try to understand why that person felt afraid to 'come out' as the saying goes. It's not for me to judge.
Lol you implied it and now your're backtracking....now your saying you don't care if they're overall good or overall bad . Before you said if they were overall good then its ok which kinda implied if they were bad you it would not be ok or why would you say if they were overall good in the first place.
You sound confused but its a free society and you're entitled to excuse hypocracy whereas I don't.

I'm thinking it's you who might be confused...

You're the one choosing to think that I implied something which I am expressly saying that I haven't. Perhaps because it suits your argument to do so. Also if you can't understand what I'm trying to say, then there's nothing I can really do about that. *shrugs* And although you should already know this, I'd like to remind you that people are different. Not everybody will be as unforgiving and judgmental as others. As you rightly say, it's a free society.

you're welcome re the permission...I'm all for personal freedom .....I mistyped ...I always find it funny when the best a person on this forum can do is admonish someone for their poor grammar or incorrect spelling it makes the poster look arrogant and a tad snobby .

Oh, I was just trying to add a little humour back into the conversation because you seemed a bit annoyed and frustrated. But I guess labelling me arrogant and snobby might make you feel better instead. And it's possible you just prefer to presume the worst in people. No worries.

Jacob the wolf or 17 again.
I very much doubt either of them would be in an actual sexual relationship with a woman if they were gay. A showmance sure, but a woman who they sleep with and actually thinks they're straight? No way

I doubt the Reddit post is legit

Closeted superstars have showmances, they don't properly date someone and pretend to their partner that they're straight

No one ever answers my question: What is the point in this thread?
It always makes me laugh reading people saying "it's so obvious he is gay" about complete strangers. You can't honestly be deluded enough to think you can say that for sure about anyone? That is what being in the closet is about. If you say "I wouldn't be surprised" that is different. But the people trying to convince themselves are just making themselves look silly.

I used to try and convince myself Kate Winslet was a lesbian. Did I have proof? No. It's just wishful thinking, nothing more. My favourite was when someone said Tom Daley's friends tease him about Cheryl Cole and someone on here said "yeah but maybe he hasn't told them he is gay yet". So you, someone he doesn't even know exists, know he is gay, but his friends don't? Sure

I think you just proved the point of this thread. It generates discussion even from people who claim not to be interested.

Would you like a hand down from your high horse?

Maybe there isn't one. But maybe there doesn't have to be.

I always wonder if one half of a famous duo - has unrequited love for his straight married partner ?

Nope. He was born and raised in the US.

Mario Lopez springs to mind...
I guess you could speculate that his wedding last year was an effort to preserve his heterosexual image, considering his new role as host of The X Factor USA.

Much has been made on other sites of the use of "the press expects" and "terribly guilty" I do agree that an American probably wouldn't speak that way. It's kind of why i like the Andrew Garfield guess. Born in the U.S raised in the U.K

I genuinely didn't realise you were trying to inject humour into our little difference of opinion. I'm not frustrated at all its just I don't see the point in posters using some ones poor grammar or spelling to score points in a debate ...personally I think it makes the person seem arrogant and snobby but that's just how it comes across to me . If I was having a face to face disagreement with someone I wouldn't dream of pointing out their bad use of grammar .
I think posters should realise that some peoples bad grammar can be a result of having left school early , some may find it hard to express themselves in the written form and some people are dyslexic .

Tom Daley, when asked which reality TV shows he'd like to do

"Strictly and Dancing on Ice - they're both so sparkly"

Is he even trying to hide it anymore?

So we can take Ben Whishaw off the list.
Must admit I was surprised when I saw his husband as he isn't exactly a looker.
I like that though..sends out a positive message

Ben wasn't in the closet really and his relationship with Mark was known. From interviews I've read it seems like he felt his private life was his own business and wanted to keep it separate from 'work'.

Wish him all the best. He seems a very sweet guy and frankly I'm a bit jealous of Mark
