Personally I would say it is not really OK to speculate about an individuals sexuality, regardless of age, on a public forum, particularly someone that is not in the limelight through their own choice. Now for so called celebrities that actively seek the limelight and do so to some degree using their sexuality I find it less clear cut in my own mind as to whether or not speculation on their sexuality is OK in the public arena but on balance I think if they are using their sexuality to sell their product be it their music, acting ability etc. then they are probably fair game for speculation. Chronological age is always going to be a minefield for a way of defining adulthood. I'm sure many of us know people that are immature way past any accepted chronological age that say they are adult and also probably know cases in which the reverse applies, but that's all rather subjective. So chronological age is probably the best we can do as a guide line, unfortunately even that isn't clear because of the widely differing views of different Countries for different things. So in the end we all have to make our own decisions on what is and isn't personally acceptable to ourselves.

You are mistaking sexual orientation with acts of sex. To me they are two different things. I am sure you comment or have commented on boyfriends/girlfriends of teenage relatives or who you or they might fancy etc. This does not relate to sexual acts.

My nieces and step daughter often tell me which boy or girl they have their eye on at the time. It is light hearted and not sexual. They are all 14 and 15. One of them is out.

Given that society is more tolerant these days, teens aren't necessarily staying in the closet. Many come out while at school, so I think to say it's disgusting makes me think you're using a different definition of sexual orientation.

I am going back to 1996/1997 I was working in Segaworld while he did some filming of a program to do with computer games & I was tasked with looking after him/his needs for the day (and keeping an eye on the film crew). I think this was his second visit. He arrived in an ok mood, made some mobile phone calls in the fire exits, a similar aged chap turned up, they had a bit of a barney but in 'code' obviously wanting to row privatly (as we all would) but still rowing, the second chap left, came back later, they went in the exit again and came out a short while later, all smiles & holding hands.

so since then I have assumed he is gay.
