Apparently dating a member of the opposite sex or saying you are straight is not proof. There still leaves room for doubt, but people who say gay people are just confused and are lying are vile people and are wrong for trying to dictate people's sexuality

There isn't a single solitary doubt in my mind about Cliff Richard. As far as I'm concerned it's just a matter of time before it becomes official that he's gay. I just think that he's afraid of saying anything in case it alters peoples perception of him, which is sad really because I'd like to think in this day and age people wouldn't bat an eyelash regarding his sexual preference.

People lie about being straight, it's called the closet. With millions riding on a hetro image to maintain and PR companies controlling the media why is it so heinous to think a celeb is not telling the truth? It's called being sceptical.

How? As I said, he had a long term girlfriend before most people knew who he was. Sounded a bit creepy when they broke up to be honest! So excuse me for thinking people saying they refuse to believe he is straight are making themselves look delusional and embarrassing.

Doubt Louis is gay. Whether he is or not doesn't matter a whit to me. But I agree with you, I will never understand (or accept) hubris from those who keep making an issue of it. Enough already. Respect people's privacy and give them the benefit of the doubt.

I dated a wonderful, fun guy who turned bi a year after we began dating. While he loved women (and was a great boyfriend), he said he always felt different even as a small boy, so he finally gave in to the desire to experiment. It didn't matter to me since I never saw him as a potential mate, although he told others he never got over me after I suddenly married someone else. He will always be one of my favorite people, ever.

I just think if someone said they were gay or bi and in a relationship with the same sex and someone said they were lying then people here would be rightly outraged. So how can they then say someone is lying about being straight with no reason to think that? I used to be friends with a lesbian who actually got angry if someone asked me if someone was gay and I said "no they have a girlfriend/boyfriend, they are straight". How pathetic and hypocritical is that?

No one is saying people aren't in the closet but being arrogant enough to think you can doubt someone is disrespectful, because you are trying to say they are living a lie. You can't refuse to accept someone as straight with no good reason. Luke Evans, yes. Other people mentioned? No. Sick of being called homophobic for pointing this out.

There is nothing homophobic about speculating if someone is gay. What a ridiculous thing to say! The only homophobic thing is people acting like you are being horrible and insulting someone by suggesting it. That is what is homophobic.

I think a sportsman that competes in a sport which carries the name "Artistic" in the title , who doesn't kick any type of ball and wears a leotard has to be gay in the minds of some .

Calm down! of course there are bisexual people but don't pretend that people in the public eye like athletes and actors etc.. haven't employed this tactic. Sadly at the end of the day for managers and producers etc.. it's all about the $$$$$, not even the well-being of their celebrities they represent.
