Neither of those - gay. According to this thread.

I don't know why so many get all sh*tty about such a lighthearted thread.

- Being mistaken for being gay surely shouldn't be deemed as 'offensive' should it?

No idea if it's true or not but being an openly gay Muslim wouldn't really be an option for him, his family would expect him to marry regardless.

Says more about them really, if they find it offensive.

Spectacularly missing the point. Nobody is saying being gay is offensive. Of course it isn't. What is offensive is when people insist that someone is gay. Dispute evidence to the contuary. Or not having any proof. An example is someone said the Muslim footballer a few posts back was. How do they know? Have they personally seen him indulge in kissing or having sex with other men. Doubt it.

Says they're bisexual - Gay but just testing public reaction before deciding whether to fully come out (Tom Daley style).

No, there are plenty of people who are straight. Only the unattractive ones though of course. Funny it is much easier to believe they are straight even though there is the same amount of "proof" about the good looking ones

Seriously, how can people not see our issue with refusing to believe people are straight with no good reason? No different to the idiots who refuse to accept Matt Bomer is gay despite evidence to the contrary. Those crying homophobia just realise they have no legitimate counter argument. The reasons people have for saying someone is gay are ridiculous and clearly just wishful thinking. Remember jenny meadows? I still pray that was a parody account People on here can't honestly think they can say a complete stranger is lying about being straight. No one is that arrogant or ignorant, surely?

As for Sam Smith, has he ever commented on his sexuality? I also find it odd that if someone has a relationship with someone of the same sex people on here label them gay when they could be bisexual. But as far as I know, Sam has never commented on his sexuality. It's not like Luke Evans who explicitly came out as gay and then sadly went back into the closet.

If a gay person says they have 'gaydar' it's accepted like science

If a straight person says someone has a gay vibe, it's homophobia

Sam Smith is as quite obviously gay as Tom Daley was

Gaydar isn't science, it's a joke. Who takes it seriously? It's just another way for people to force their "they must be gay" opinions on people. Same with the "they are manly, can't possibly be gay" crowd.

Luke Evans might be popping out again. It seems he may be dating Jon Kortajarena.

Sam Smith. Exes are always 'someone I thought loved me', 'somebody I was with', all very ambiguous. Doubt many people who hear him and see his body language in interviews can say he doesn't prefer a bit of sausage. I saw a T4 on the Beach clip and he was with someone who appeared to be his boyfriend, a young black guy with a leopard print bag IIRC. I'm usually bang on money with gays. Being one myself so don't give me no abuse easily offended idiots. This forum is rampant with you guys.

Nah not really. It's generally just the ability to tell whether someone could be gay or bi or not. Nothing more, nothing less. It wasn't even a thing until someone named it 'gaydar', things like intuition or instinct aren't science because science is based on theory and how things factually work. Totally different to things like this. We don't know how everything works, and arrogant folk like you think simply having an ability to tell if a person is gay, or just knowing they likely are, is offensive. It's truly weird. Even really butch or 'straight acting' men I have easily recognised as gay. Not always to do with stereotypes. A lot of young guys are feminine in these days anyway. And I still know the difference. So bore off.
