Break out the party poppers. Get the silly string. Stock up on the cocktails. I am in shock. Yours is one of the first sensible logical posts I have read on this thread.

Ok - one of them likes his grub, the other one gets so excited when he's singing, he ends up rolling on the floor.

They both just look fat and camp. Let's remember that Jeremy Spake wasn't gay

Equally, a few internet rumours, Popbitch items and being photographed in proximity to another male do not render a man gay.

Zing! Seems friendship is a myth these days.

People also seem to forget bisexuality. It's like those who swear James Dean, Katherine Hepburn, greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich et al were straight when they had same sex lovers. Or the gay people who try and claim them. It's strange how people try and dictate other sexuality.

Some people tried to claim Cary grant was gay because he lived with a man. Maybe he was bisexual though, because he had several wives who found gay rumours about him hysterical as did his daughter. Maybe him and Randolph Scott were just friends. We will never know. But it is bizarre that two women or two men who are pictured together more than once are considered "suspicious" by gay people.

Hey. Don't forget there are no straight men in the public eye whatsoever on this thread. Everybody is gay as a goose.

I don't think it is possible to sum up a gay (I presume you meant male?) celebrity's choices in one single simple sentence. It is way more complex than that. And way more complex than we can imagine.
I mean, for all we know the person is closeted because of his mother. Maybe he wants to have a child 'in wedlock' for some reason - maybe because he doesn't want said child stigmatized (whatever you may think about that it can happen). It might be that the woman is better protected (in providing him with a child) in marriage. These are mere speculative ideas - I'm not engaging in likelihood or not - it is merely for illustrative purposes. There could be 500 other reasons and we have no idea - is my point

Oh it's so wearisome, it really is.

Just waiting for one of 'em to roll out the old 'you only think the good-looking ones are gay' chestnut that hasn't been used for at least, what, five pages.

Seriously, if closet doors were busted down the world over threads like this would be irrelevant. As it is, they're not. That's why we still have speculation (some silly, some wholly valid), not because of the individual at the end of the day, but (for those of us that see it seriously) because the system is still largely against what it sees as 'jeopardising' it's cash pot.

Seems legit, and I'm with you. Gay geese the lot of them.

I've heard rumours of straight men existing but having read this thread I think they must be a myth.

Oh hai there, Sharon, gurl. Not that you know what you're talking about either, being in the industreh and all. No, it must be just rest of us making it all up all the time!:

"Sharon Osbourne has said she still knows lots of gay people in the entertainment industry who are in the closet and use women as beards.

Speaking on The Talk, the former X Factor judge said: “Don’t you find there are – not naming names – a lot of people inside this industry and outside who have women as beards?

“They live a lie. I’m not condemning them, but it’s sad that people do have to do that and they don’t have the wherewithal or the strength to live the lives that they were born to lead.”"

Why does it have to be so definitive? Can't everyone just be free and open minded?

If it wasn't for the social issues I think every man would at least give it a try.

I don't think every man would, but I certainly think a very high percentage would. But it is very hard to shake off the stigma attached to two men as opposed to two women.

In my experience a lot of men have a curiosirty about it but see it as a threat to their 'machoness'. It's almost more of a gender issue than a sexuality issue.

When I was at uni I was very surprised how many 'straight' guys admitted to wanting to try it after a few drinks, and even more surprised at how many later did changed my whole outlook on sexuality.

Or so he says. And just because he married a Russian woman?

They were about 6 or 7 years old. Would you tell a 6 or 7 year old girl he was gay and preferred men?

Why does this thread seem to attract so many moaners?

I always presumed this thread was like fan fiction, it's harmless.

Jake Canuso is a lot camper in real life than he is on Benidorm, shows he's a good actor I suppose.

Some thoughts from Wentworth Miller...

I think he expresses really well how some closeted people feel about themselves and their audiences. In his case, he knew many people had worked it out, but felt it was his 'job to act a certain way'.

So, pressure is still there to feel the need to comply and play along. Hopefully things are getting better in some arenas.”

Looks good for 42.

Haven't seen him in anything since Prison Break finished so coming out may have damaged his career, so maybe the majority of gay actors are right to stay in the closet?

I don't really follow the career of Wentworth Miller but I know he wrote the screenplay for the excellent film Stoker.

If he keeps doing stuff like that he's OK by me, whether he's commercially successful or not (I realise being OK by me may not be much consolation when he ends up on Skid Row).

Please can we please stop this 'damaging career' mantra. That's what's damaging.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0589505/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

Filmograpy please, he's still working. Maybe his Prison Break days were his one major role but that's true for many actors, of whatever sexuality: many have one standout role in a varied career.

He's also in his 40s and is perhaps ready to wind down and step away from upfront TV roles as he's been doing this a long time. He's not 20 anymore.

Ironically, he is only the same gay man he was when he was wowing ya'll in Prison Break.
