Nikita did a 0.2 in the demo yesterday

It's a good thing the CW has Arrow this year.

Would be interested in seeing a weekly chart of overnights published at the end of the week/start of the next, is this something anyone else is interested in?

I must say I've been impressed with what ITV have been offering in the 10.35pm slot this past week or so. The Agenda and Exposure are the type of programmes that should be commissioned for that slot, and it's pleasing to see ITV trying out these offerings.

I also loved watching That Sunday Night Show with Adrian Chiles. It didn't set the ratings alight though and I don't think it's returning, which is a great shame

You're right to say that Citizen Khan got broadly similar ratings but remember it was following the news at 10.35pm on a Monday.Me and Mrs Jones has a more favourable slot and a lead in of over 5.2m from Have I Got News For You.

Personally, I'm delighted Citizen Khan has been recommissioned for a second series. It might not be to everyone's taste but for me it had lots of laugh aloud moments

2010-10.3m (39.8%) 12.11
2011-8.92m (34.2%) 10.77

Quite a big drop last year which is disappointing. I think they will be aiming to beat that figure. A good solid 9m figure would be good news. I actually think it should go out at 6 not 7 on Christmas day.

Ken”

Interesting to see the figures in a table like this Ken. There certainly has been a marked decline from the dizzy heights of 2008 to last year.

Must admit I enjoyed last years special and curiously a friend who wouldn't normally watch DW let slip in conversation that she had enjoyed it too.

I've just seen the new ITV branding, and while I've sworn not to go into details, I must say I cannot wait for this thread's reaction when it's revealed. Let's call it... bold.

It's launching on-air and online in the first two weeks of January.

Possibly fans are finding Matt Smith a poor Doctor. I've stopped watching as I can't take to him.

In your opinion James J is the new Itv branding better or worse than the current one? You said you cant say the details but did you like it or dislike it? Some people on other forums have described it as "horrendous" and "child like".

One person on another forum, which you then ran away with in half a dozen threads here. You've already made your mind up, even if he says he thinks it is better.

Is there any reason why ITV are running 8 minutes late? Did Luke Skywalker and Hans Solo take longer than usual to defeat Darth Vader? Or did ITV run the end credits at slow cinema speed instead of quicker TV speed?

Are they going to be running late all night, and if so, will these impact on overnight ratings? Or will they be able to catch up with YBF or TMO not filling their full running time?

Indeed. A friend of mine a few weeks ago was shown the new branding at a meeting and said the reaction was "lukewarm". Didn't say whether she liked it or not.

Can't be any worse than the "TV from the heart" trollop, can it?

XFactor must be starting late. One of their contestants went out clubbing and isnt singing tonight due to her hangover and loss of voice after shouting so much on her night out. So they probably starting late to take into account one fewer singer in the show.

ITV just ran a trailer showing:

7.05 Take Me Out
8.25 X Factor

X Factor down to start 5 minutes later than billed.

there is always worse, if ive learnt nothing in life, its that things can always get worse, no matter how bad they are too start with.

This is not to say I think the forthcoming re-brand will be bad, its really far too early for me (or anyone else who has not seen it) to judge it, based on a hand full of online reviews.

With all respect to James J, bold can mean many things, and as such can mean whatever you want it to mean.

Both untrue, both wrong - and plainly so.

digiguide has that as the same start time for Take Me Out, X-Factor however is billed as 8:20, same time as Merlin

Presumably TXF has run out of padding?

Or a desperate attempt to slightly lift TMO's appalling ratings?

I thought something was odd when I spotted that on the EPG. I know it is only five minutes difference, but that is going to have a detrimental effect on the overnights, as the show won't be in full swing now until about 20:40.

Do you mean the time or the year?

Somehow I doubt the producers would let her miss a week because of a hangover.

But yes, X Factor is starting slightly later as they're a singer down.

Wouldn't it be better to finish slightly earlier ?

I would think X-Factor could cover for 1singer without messing the ITV schedule around.

Get 1D in to do one of their little songs, or some other Scyo "star"
