Panorama is currently number 1 on iPlayer. Programme is illustrating with a photograph of JS which, in light of all the revelations, now looks creepy.

"Of the freshman series that have been on the air for at least three weeks, only CBS’ comedy Partners is still awaiting word on an episodic or script order. The comedy was pre-empted last night, and the network will likely wait another week before making a decision. Because of the first Presidential debate, ABC’s Nashville and Chicago Fire launched late and have only aired two episodes, so decisions on both are forthcoming. Neither is considered a slam dunk after steep second-week declines, though Nashville is in better shape critics- and ratings-wise. ABC, which was flying high last fall with early full-season orders to Once Upon A Time, Revenge and Suburgatory, is the only broadcast network with no episodic back orders yet. (It has given out script pickups to dramas 666 Park Ave and Last Resort and comedy The Neighbors). Technically, Fox has not ruled on the fate of low-rated Mob Doctor, though its options are down to whether to keep the show on the air for several more weeks or pull it. For now, Mob Doctor is slated to return to the schedule after the World Series on Nov. 8, the second Monday of the November sweep." |

Its the long forgotten Fix It forerunner Clunk Click which is gaining ever more airplay. The end shots with Savile and Gary Glitter sitting in the crowd will probably become the signature shots of this huge horrible sorry mess.
The Jim'll fix it programme last Christmas was an awful idea for a programme in any case and seemed to be sit uncomfortably between nostalgia/tribute and new remake. I wouldn't have comissioned it in the first place, even without knowing the rumours Quote:
I think we all know the Newsnight research 'broke' the story, ITV1 Tonight jumped on it, Panorama came clean about it - we can only hope nobody else was implicated, if their was indeed a TOTP 'paedophile ring' as claimed - this investigation could drag on for years more.
Any rebrand for ITV doesn't really have anything to do with this thread as we generally don't get ratings for the presentation, the usual band of ITV bashers just slating it based on one person saying they didn't like it isn't very useful. |

It'll be interesting to see how that does in it's second season both here and in the US as it's a show which arguably would have benefitted from being axed after a year and having the story arc confined to one series. Also interesting that people will watch the Grand Designs repeat on More4 but not all of them will stick around for the Aussie version, which is just as good and arguably with more interesting designs. And going off on a bit of a tangent but notice Really are showing Masterchef South Africa - nice to see some channels picking up imports which aren't American as there is definately an untapped source of programming there. |

It was Exposure on ITV1, not Tonight. I agree about the Christmas Fix It-true example of muddled thinking. |

Surely this is going to be snapped up by BBC Two before long. I think it would do very well out of a Mastermind/University Challenge lead in.

2.94m for The Chase, that show just keeps on improving! I would have thought I'd see it near the bottom of the top 30 for ITV1, creeping up as the weeks go on but I guess not.
However, a couple of years ago The Weakest Link used to get 2-3m on BBC2 (daytime edition), maybe it could beat that. |

Tape checked soap ratings:
Emmerdale - 7.62m (36.1%) Eastenders - 7.68m (34.5%) Holby City - 4.76m (20.0%) Emmerdale +1 - 173k (0.7%) BBC3 EE - 652k (4.4%) Emmerdale again very close to Eastenders, just 80k in it. However BBC3 did slightly better than recent weeks by pulling a respectable number, suggesting a slight football denting for Eastenders. Strange that Holby is down even though Bake Off has now finished, maybe the revisited episode did well. |

I know that BBC Four is what BBC Two should really be like, but poaching shows from its sister channel is not the answer.

Fantastic start for Rolf's Animal Clinic on C5 last night. 1.5m (6.3%) tuned in at 8pm, with a further 117k watching on C5+1.
The first in the 6 part Special Edition Films produced series was up over 500,000 on the slot average. C4 just edged the slot though with new property series George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces (1.6m/6.8%; +1: 255k) which was slightly above the slot average of 1.5m. |

Good start for Rolf Harris - that was a shrewd move by Channel 5 putting it in that slot on a Tuesday night!

Finally some good news for C5 in what has been a bit of a rough patch for them. 1.6m for an original commission is terrific for them especially in what I think (correct me if I'm wrong) has been a bit of a tricky slot for them. C4's new show did alright but really that says more about the current state of C4 than anything else that I'm considering a launch below 2m (even with +1) as 'alright'.
Elsewhere, The Chase hit what I believe is a new high in the 5pm slot, averaging a whopping 3.27m (inc +1).

Excellent for The Chase - it's a great show. and (so far) ITV haven't done a C4/Come Dine With Me "flog it to death".

What has been the reason for The Chase suddenly getting so many more viewers this Autumn? It used to get 2million but now it's normally at 3million. I thought it would be because Pointless was rating worse but the ratings posted yesterday shows that Poointless is still getting very good ratings. Neighbours is rating same as before so where have trhese viewers come from? More info on Itv rebrand: Quote:
I understand it is being revealed to advertisers and/or investors in November, so would imagine the public reveal is around then as well, with an on-air date of Jan 14 (not sure if that tallies with what others are hearing)?
I have to say I don't see the new branding working well for ITV plc or the re-named ITV (channel). It looks a bit comical, even child-like in my opinion, and dread to think what the likes of Broadcast, Creative Review and Marketing Week will make of it (although I realise that isn't necessarily the intended audience). But my biggest concern is for news and current affairs programming. The point was made several times at Monday's briefings that the logo doesn't sit well with serious programming like ITV News or Exposure (if you thought ITV News had problems being taken seriously now, just wait for the rebrand). This is just my take on it though. I'd love a newspaper or magazine like The Guardian or Creative Review to ask somebody like Martin Lambie-Nairn to give his appraisal of it from an expert's point of view. And I can't wait to hear what people here think about it. |

Evening finish for Tour de France final stage next year.
May mean ITV4 rather than ITV1? Or maybe not - if Wiggins / Froome are going to win could it get a big rating on ITV1? But tricky as don't know how long final stage will last so would be quite disruptive to ITV1 evening schedule. Also wouldn't know whether a British winner was likely when releasing schedules. |
