Not forgetting the unbelievable "muslim father seeing his son with another man before the gay wedding" shocker. It's so absurd, what part of Islington do the writers live in?

It's all so contrite and feels like EastEnders has taken a trip back in time to the late 1980's with all it's political correctness. And the viewers know it, and are switching off. I'm one of them.

Syed does have issues about marriage. Still I like to think that this shows how much Syed has grown as a character, fine yes he is still cheating on his partner with another man days before his wedding, but at least he has his genders right this time.

Are we really discussing the motivations of a fictional EastEnders character in The Ratings Thread?

Erm, I was explaining why there was 1 less viewer so yes, it's kind of relevant for this thread

There was a Football Match (or 2) on TV last night wasn't there? Could highlight why the BBC3 figure is up slightly

Well who could blame her? I hear that

Max finds out Joey is his son....After the Big Crash and he is left fighting for his life

Excuses, excuses, excuses you should come and work in pr for Virgin Trains.

Ratings are dropping because the show is a mess, no coherent strategy so far from Newman on improving things and viewers are fed up with nonsensical rubbish episodes. And I know Newman has another headache on the horizon to trouble her.

And frankly I'm sick of EE pulling down the shows that follow it with its poor showing, Holby down again but I'm not blaming it all on the great Brit bake Off.

Can't see Micheal French returning, he is on contract with Casualty for another year.

Speaking of Casualty is it now time to move it from Saturday to say Thursday, might improve its ratings and bring a bit of stability instead of it being shunted all over sat nites

The Inbetweeners Movie premieres on Channel 4 on Thursday 8th November at 21:00 - should be a big rating.

Holby is down because 4.4m were watching ITV1 at the same time. With its poor showing? Still EastEnders was the most watched show all day.

lol you stalk him as much as dan2008 does.

odd if he returned, and he didnt do it.

anyways moving away from EastEnders

On the BBC, The Paradise is not exactly a big hit, it may get a second season, but its going to need that season to be a break out, for it to go anywhere.

On ITV, see Football was on, did good.

On C4 - The Simpsons looking ok, expecting some new episodes soon. Hollyoaks being above 1 million is promising.

Rolf's Animal Clinic: did well on C5, they will be hoping that will increase with word of mouth.

Elementary: looks good, considering what it is

Strong start for Elementary, with timeshift added in I imagine it will become Living's most watched show. Although whether they come back for EP 2 is another story, I found it quite dull.
