No flop zone for ITV last night, Pride of Britain did decently. Low rating for Holby.

EastEnders finally managed to clear 8m on Monday for the first time in weeks. Back under 8m on Tuesday. Still not quite picking up in the run up to Christmas.

Paradise rated quite low yesterday. It was doing okay against bad competition like Doc Martin and Mamma MIA repeats but with the first sign of decent competition yesterday apart from launch, its rating fell. Operation Iceberg on the other hand got a great rating.

As i posted earlier yesterday i expected that to happen with football being on. I think Thurs will have the highest ep of the week.

So Celebrity Diving is going to be called Splash on ITV and Tom Daley is confirmed to be part of it.

Hollyoaks is the strongest and most consistent it has been for a long time at the moment, since Kathleen Beedles joined and Bryan Kirkwood returned. Maybe the mess EE is still in wasn't entirely their fault?

HO has a major storyline in a few weeks involving a bus crash which presumably is an attempt to win back viewers and get them to try the new and improved Hollyoaks, so it'll be worth keeping an eye on the ratings to see if it works..

Sadly Horror Europa was a one off rather than a series.

And in other news.

All Star Family Fortunes is returning to 45 minute episodes for its new series next year (although the Christmas special will remain 1 hour long), and there will be 9 regular episodes, which suggests to me that it is going to be in the Dancing on Ice sandwich next year (as DOI is 10 weeks long and the final is feature length) in a schedule like this:

18:15 - Dancing on Ice
19:45 - All Star Family Fortunes
20:30 - Dancing on Ice - The Skate Off
21:00 - Mr Selfridge

As for Saturdays, Prize Island has 6 episodes, Saturday Night Takeaway has 7 episodes and Take Me Out will presumably have 10 episodes like the current series. Not sure how many Splash episodes there will be or even when it'll air, although I assume it'll be fairly soon. I'm guessing Prize Island will run in January/February at about 7pm with Takeaway taking over the slot from mid-February. Take Me Out and Jonathan Ross could run alongside them in the 8pm and 9pm hours respectively, and then maybe Splash could take over from TMO in March and air with a Takeaway lead-in. I can't see it running for that many weeks so I guess they'll squeeze it in OK. Off Their Rockers could run at about 6:30pm in Feb/March too, with BGT and My Man Can then airing in April/May (I think BGT will revert to starting in mid-April with the live shows in half term week next year).

Score, When is BGT live week likely to be next year? Last year it was moved early to clash with The Voice but in 2013 are they moving it back to the end of May? Is end of May when half term is?

Rolf's Animal Clinic: 1.13m (4.8%) exc. +1

Not bad retention up against Autumnwatch and Pride of Britain (featuring Rolf Harris). Can bounce back a bit next week.

what is with the rubbish titles "Splash" "Prize Island" starting to make "Dont Scare The Hare" look good.

I hope we get another series of Cuckoo.

How awful. As well as his brilliant Downton impersonations,

Luke Kempner does a pretty good Tom Daley, too.

All it says on ITV Media is that it will be in Quarter 2 which isn't massively helpful! I think it might move back to half term week (which is week beginning 27th May with the final on 1st June) as there is obviously no Jubilee to work around this year. Also I can't see it being in the same week as last year (with the final on 11th May) as the FA Cup Final is on the 11th May with a kick off time of 5:30pm, so if that goes into extra time/penalties it could really mess the BGT Final around (especially with the law regarding child performers not being allowed to be on live after 10pm) so they won't want the final that night. I can't see it being either of the following 2 weeks either as Eurovision is on 18th May and they won't want the final airing against that, and the Champions League Final is on 25th May, so unless they move the final to a Sunday it won't be that week, which brings them back to half term week where I think the live week will air next year.

If Score is correct, Splash might be going up against Voice UK next year. Bad move by Itv, it'll get beaten in the ratings.

C4 came no better than sixth in the 9pm hour, edged out by BBC Three, as Jewish Mum of the Year sunk to a dismal 630k (2.6%).

Body of Proof on C5 also took a tumble, registering a series low 911k (3.8%). A further 102k watched at 10pm.

Fresh Meat improved slightly to 735k (4%) at 10pm, with a further 130k on +1.

Depends when The Voice actually airs of course. Also I can't see The Voice airing at 8pm (where I think Splash might air) - I think The Voice is more likely to clash with Takeaway which could be an interesting battle.

Last year BGT was moved forward because of the Diamond Jubilee and the disruption to the schedules across the week where it would usually air. Nothing to do with The Voice.

The figures were slightly down during the live shows (probably due to it being during term time and being on fairly late on a weeknight) so it will almost certainly move back to the end of May/start of June.

7th actually; it was behind Sky Sports 2 also.

With BGT out of the way, I hope the BBC sees sense and starts The Voice at a better time like showing it 19.30-20.50. Voice should easily see off Takeaway because Ant and Dec arent the big draw they used to be. Then if Splash begins halfway through Voice, I expect Voice viewers wont switch over to Itv. Only way I think Splash can rate decent against the Voice is if it has a great cast: a major fatty for joke purposes, hot female models and hot guys for the young viewers to look at and attract lots of magazine coverage, an older contestant which the judges can go to "oh youre doing amazing for your age" and relatable to older audiences, housewives' favourites [i.e. soap star], one American star, a current politician who is a bit rubbish at diving and gets the show press coverage etc to be a success.

Kathleen stated on Twitter last week that what you see on screen is her's and Kirkwoods stuff.

Lorraines full work will begin at xmas and only slight things you see is her work (like the exits of Anthony moon back in August and Christian leaving in November)”

Thanks for the update, when did Green depart and what's he doing now?.

If this aired yesterday, it didn't made the ITV Media multichannel top 10, so was under 565k.
