Looong time ago, back in Sept 11, when me and mojo went to Lime for a blogger's day. It had all sort of stuff on it, and then a plea to treat us and the story gently. We have a pic of Emmett holding it.

Hello. Just quickly popping in. I've been crazy busy because I spent the whole of last week flailing/sobbing about Dublin, instead of doing what I should have been doing.
That does make sense, and pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter. And I suppose, like C&S said, I just don't like him. So, not feeling much sympathy here.
He just never learns, does he?

And it's going to feel especially ridiculous watching them drag out Stug now. They've got no place to go with it but end it after a wedding anyway, and how did they not think the Stendan Reunited Dublin filming would get out?
I even think the breakup is coming surprisingly a lot sooner than expected too.

I'm glad you said this as well. Considering Doug thinks Brendan is this horrific human being, he is placing an awful lot of trust in him implicating him in Rileys death (if he does), and hoping he won't bring Ste getting the gun into it. It's like he is being hypocritical to himself, trying to justify his actions. "Brendan is a terrible person so he must pay for it. But he loves Ste so he won't ever bring him into it".
I still think it has to be Rileys death that he mentions to Shawnee though, because the original undercover bust was to get proof about his drug dealings, so what on earth can Doug offer to her, that they couldn't get in a raid. Especially without Doug letting slip he was a dealer for Brendan.

I have sympathy for Doug to the extent of, it must be horrible to know the person you love, loves someone else. That is it.
The rest of it, I find more in character for Doug than I have the last 6 months of Stug relationship. Doug was always this out for himself kinda guy, but just the quiet kind. He did what he needed to get what he wanted. I find him shopping Brendan to the police a lot more believable, because he wants Ste for himself. I think the last month or so, and what we have coming up, will see all 3 of them back into the characters with some depth.
Ste and his temper.
Brendan and his moral compass.
Doug and his sneakiness.

Hi! I know what you mean. I spent at least 50% of last week thinking about Brendan and Ste in Dublin. It still leaves me gobsmacked. I don't think I've stopped flailing really. And the thought of them talking this week, having a nice long chat after Brendan calms Ste down, makes my stomach crinkle.

I agree. I think all characters should grow and develop but I didn't like that they forgot who Doug was. A bit of a self-serving git who made bad decisions.
I would personally hold back on the excitement for the heart to heart, it could be amazing, it depends on how they want to play it.
A heart to heart can mean anything on HOs.
I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it turns out to be the exact words Kieron used, the I gave you aggro etc etc and then Brendan says you are nothing like me.
And that is it.
Obviously I hope it's more but I'm wise to their spoiler exaggerations now and they are not catching me out again.

Mmm, there is character development and growth. And then there is just re-writing a character. It's not just Doug they've done it with, but his has lasted the longest.
Hell, Brendan started this year as a different person, but it was resolved pretty sharpish. In comparison at least.

I can't believe how quickly I've given way to obsession again. Couple of months ago, I wouldn't have cared if I was in or not.
What makes this week even more exciting for me is everyone in my house is on holiday. So I have the big tele all to myself, so I can flail away

Agree. They recognised their mistake with Brendan and made the effort to change it. But it's taken them longer with Doug.
I can't lie but those scenes he had with Walker were my favourite moments with him all year.

Cos I really don't see what good putting it off will do? Ste's going to find out about Doug trying to get Brendan sent down, and with all their other issues, it seems arbitrary to try and stretch any of that out for weeks. How do you even do that? Anyone would just break up when it's clearly over, and not when it's some random week later down the road.
I can't imagine what the show could come up with to hold them together for weeks.
