Badly. He's been forced to remember some stuff about his Dad, it's clearly killing him, and Cheryl is completely oblivious.

Ste is madly overcompensating with Doug, offering to help with Riley's memorial, but after he kissed Doug, he looked very thoughtful and not exactly turned on. They seem more like mates again than lovers really.

Emmett is just outstanding.

The fact this stuff isn't winning awards is sinful.

Only reason I can think of would be because of the difficulty they would have had with the scenes in later if she was younger, just easier to make little Cheryl a tiny bit older to get the scenes in that they wanted I guess.

My heart was beating so fast through all that. Emmett is such an amazing actor and so great at playing Brendan. I'm in awe. Bronagh was really great in those scenes too, she really portrayed how different Cheryl viewed their Dad than Brendan. The cake bit made me feel sick...every time Brendan speak in that voice, like a little child, it makes my heart race.

Doug you don't have problems damn it all! Ste you should race to the therapist office and take Brendan in your arms, Damn it all! Did anyone see the flicker of something in Ste's eye after Doug kissed him...it was a 'I wish I got to kiss Brendan before you pulled up in your taxi' look.

OH EM GEEE! What a day to be able to come back! Can't believe they flashed back to later. Thought I'd never seen them scenes again they were so horrible.

I can't get my head around to contrast between Brendan today, so sad and tormented to the Dublin pictures where he's so happy. Its mental! I wish we could see it all right now!

I really want the counsellor to ask to see Brendan alone. Like, maybe he can tell her and she helps him deal with it without others knowing, leading up to him being enough for Ste. But then Pa arrives and it all turns to sh*t.

Then he breaks every ones heart. All in a look. Because Emmett is that good.

I wonder if when it says in that spoiler that Brendan faces his demons in unfamilar surroundings he decides to go back to the counsellor alone this time. Makes sense and would fit with the next episode him trying to connect with Cheryl and also the one about him accepting he loves Ste.
