For anyone that was a fan the first time around, Beverly Hills 90210 is starting on CBS Drama on Monday September 1st. It airs new episodes weekdays at 9pm with repeat showings the following day at 11am and 3pm.

I'm sure some of the earlier episodes based around the school seem a bit tame and dated now in comparison to some of the teen soaps that we've had since - BH first aired 24 years ago now It does develop over time into more of an adult soap though. I remember particularly liking the Valerie Malone era.

Yes, it is good to see it again. Better than the new version.

This is great news I was only thinking recently that I'd love to watch this show again after I watched a reunion show some of the cast did a few years ago! Any idea how many seasons they'll be showing?

I remember Hilary Swank saying in an interview once, that after she was let go/fired from BH90210, she wanted to quit the acting business altogether as she was convinced she was a terrible actress.

The irony being of course is that she went on to win 2 Best Actress Oscars.

Brilliant news thankyou for the info! I love 90210 and it hasn't been on UK TV since Sky One and five used too show it back in 2005. I always thought CBS Drama might show it as they used too show Melrose Place and that is a Spelling production aswell, 90210's spin-off in fact.

The first 3 seasons based around the school are the best IMO! There's some brilliat episodes in Season 1 aswell, my favourite being the one where Brenda finds a lump on her breast and thinks it might be cancer.

Didn't Sky One not show the final season aswell? So, providing that they show all 10 seasons this should be the first time that Season 10 has been on UK TV

I loved Dylan It will be great watching these episodes with all the original music still intact aswell as the DVD's were replaced with cheap horrible background music!

Yes its true after showing nine seasons sky decided dump the series in their words " to make way for new programming" I was so angry at the time. It was once one of their flagship shows and to only show nine out of ten seasons was an insult to people who had watched it from the start!

Yes you're right sky never showed season 10 I had to obtain it by other methods back before the DVDs were released!!

It'll be so funny watching this from the beginning again seeing all the horrendous 90s fashion and seeing how young a lot of them looked although of course some of the cast weren't actually that young were they I believe Andrea was nearly 30 in real life!!

Oh I just made a topic about this in the soap forum oops

Anyway I love this show WITH THE ORIGINAL MUSIC.

Who can forget Brenda breaking up to Dylan when listening to Losing My Religion by REM (not on the DVDs )

That's good to know. I got in to it around the same time that Tiffani Amber-Thiessen joined and remained hooked on it until the end of Season 9.

Never saw Season 10 for the reasons mentioned here, but might see if i can watch it though - it might have been a bit too long though for me to get back in to it again

I always start off by watching these 'old chestnuts', in the hope they will be as enjoyable, even after such a long time lapse only to find that, generically, they disappoint. they haven't stood the test of time. Or it could be because my viewing habits have, fundamentally, changed drastically, as I have got older. I don't watch much tv but, when I do, it is either docs or lifestyle shows. Definitely not soaps or drama.

That's what I was thinking but then they played the normal theme tune as part of the episode.

Pilot episodes often have different music to the main show..

A bit of an abrupt ending there, but it was an extended pilot episode, so part 2 tomorrow.

It was good to see again and definitely a blast from the past.
