[GAME]: The Voice Factor *Semi-Final*
Previously on The Voice Factor, the 6 remaining acts sang twice for your votes, which was guilty pleasures and debut singles. Whilst some were at their best, there were a few that were not quite there yet. But in the end, one act had to leave and sadly, it was Frances Wood's time to go. Tonight, it's the semi-final and our famous five are gonna do whatever it takes to make it to the final, but one act will not make it there, two themes stand between them which are Floor Fillers and Go For Broke, which they literally will in order to earn their place in the competition, fighting for your votes are:
jackel1234 & The Boys Mackenzie Bourg Elliot Canavan Doyle MWalker1066 who has no remaining Girls Kuda_Kunaka & the last of The Overs Jaz Ellington EndOfSanity & The Wildcards Juliet Simms Viktoria Bolonina So welcome everyone to where your half term starts right here! (Unless you're not on a degree course like me. )Judges, we're very close to the final now, so be ready and please confirm your presence. |

I'm here! Hopefully I won't lose another act tonight, but there is a chance that might happen as I've taken some massive risks.

Well, we've got a big night, so let's get started.
We start with Floor Fillers and to kick off the semi-final from the Boys, it's Elliot Canavan Doyle! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLK4oaXUuLg |

Elliot Canavan Doyle
This was an interesting week for you and me Elliot. I was constantly looking at songs which I'd seen fill a dancefloor so they could pass for a dancefloor filler and I remember this one playing at a club I was at and it filled the floor. I knew it had to be for you as it suits you fantastically with your indie style and you vocals were fantastic! It was a tough week but I think you nailed it! |

What a way to kick off the semifinal Elliot! The tempo was certainly different from what you normally do, but that didn't make me love it any less. The song really suited you, and to be honest I thought you were going to struggle more with this theme, so it's nice to see that you didn't struggle at all. I have one problem with this song though. You've already sang a song by Two Doors Cinema Club before, so it irks me a little that you're singing another song by them today. Song picking would be SO much easier if you could keep picking the same artists over and over. Apart from that little mistake by your mentor, awesome performance! |

Elliot
I felt that was a solid performance from you. I did not really hear any standout vocals which is what I expect from a semi finla performance. That said, it was still a 'young' enough performance from you, so that worked! Good luck on your second song

We begin with very good comments overall for Elliot, we'll see if he can keep it up later.
Next up is the wildcards, singing a song in honor of Halloween night that is not far off, it's Viktoria Bolonina! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aoex4agWJE |

Viktoria Bolonia
Viktoria I loved the sexiness in that performance again at the start. When the chorus kicked in I was slightly thrown off as the bit where it goes Halloweeeeeeeen didn't really suit you that well and honestly felt slightly awkward. I think it was a good choice though as this theme is quite challenging to an artist such as yourself so I do give props to your mentor for choosing this song. got to go eat be back soon |

At the start, i was sort of going, how could this possibly be a floor filler?.. how wrong was I! By the end, I was rocking like crazy! I didnt like how you held some notes for too long on an uptempo song.Good performance though!! Well done

Viktoria Bolonina
That was absolutely amazing! You took a massive risk this week in singing this song, as it's a pretty hard song. But you gave it your all nonetheless, and those long notes were absolutely phenomenal! This is very different from what you usually do, but I'm pleased to see that you pulled it off. The public seemed to love it too, which is what a Floor Filler is all about. Great job and I can't wait to hear your second song! |

That's great comments for Viktoria, can she do the double later?
Now it's time for the last remaining Over and with a recent Chris Brown hit, it's Jaz Ellington! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXyf_buDIrQ |

When I saw that you were singing a Chris Brown song, I was absolutely filled with dread. However, I was actually surprised with how decent a song choice this was for you. At first I thought that this would be your all-time low, but it was nowhere near that. Having said that, it also wasn't your best performance or anything, but it was a pretty good performance considering the theme. Also, I don't like repeating myself every single week, but Chris's tone is quite different from yours, which made me enjoy it slightly less than I possibly should have, but I'm sure you'll blow me away with you next performance. Well done! |

Jaz, that was an incredible performance. The theme was definately a challenge for you , but we've been through many weeks and I hope this week will not be any different. Your vocals were on point! And the song choice appealed to the young fans as well, which is hard for an over to do. Great performance!!

So it's mixed comments for Jaz, will he be in trouble again?
Back to the wildcards and singing a song by an artist that also has her same name, it's Juliet Simms! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xL_WefyRTAk Note: The song ends at 3:40, don't be alarmed by the length of the video. |

This is an okay choice I guess. Its better that what you managed to do last week and was pretty decent when you look at the theme. The tone was different to yours and was a bit weird but with that being said it was pretty decent. You still need to blow me away though because you haven't really given a fantastic performance yet. Juliet Simms This was an interesting choice for you and does suit you but the tone was slightly off in areas for your voice but again considering the theme I make the exception. Nice choice for you overall and I liked how your mentors constantly kept you a rocker throughout this contest |

If I had known the theme in advance I'd have saved that awesome Porcelain Black song for you to sing this week, as that would've fitted the theme really well. Luckily for both you and me, guitar solos can pump people up as well, so while this is probably the slowest Floor Filler we'll see tonight, it sure got me swinging as you ROCK girl! Your voice is just perfect, I absolutely adore your voice, and if this show is what the title would make one assume to be you'll be here next Monday in the final! |

Like Jack said, you are the rocker of this show! The theme sort of let you down as the tone wasn't really similar to yours and the music in the background also sorta overpowered the vocals, but that's Rock! I think its best to say you delivered! You did it!

Great comments for Juliet, well done to her!
Now for the last floor filler from the boys and with a cover of an old classic, it's Mackenzie Bourg! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK0j_xRdchs |

This is where I twisted the theme to our advantage Mackenzie. A dancefloor filler doesn't have to be big pumped up dance numbers it can be ones you play at weddings and all the couples go onto the dancefloor and just dance! It was difficult to find a song in your style that could be considered Danceable so I had to take look and found this fantastic cover for you! It still keeps some of your indie magic but in a more acoustic style and I think that was brilliant for you considering the theme |

Aren't you lovely... Your tone is out of this world boo.. it really is. I did not expect 'Stevie Wonder' tonight.. and that did not get me on my feet. It's floor fillers week, and you are still stuck on that guitar.. I wanted you to smash it Mackenzie, it was good, but you didn't smash it

So I guess I was wrong, as this is the slowest song we'll hear for this theme. I'm also wondering how on earth this would be a real 'floor filler', but maybe the fact that this was an acoustic performance was responsible for that. Jack's explanation is fine as well, it didn't say 'disco dance floor fillers' week after all. Mackenzie, you slightly let me down again with this performance, as I felt that this performance was missing something, perhaps it's that spark we've talked about every odd show again. However, you still delivered and I'll let you off based on the theme as long as you blow me away with your second performance again like you did last week. |
