It will be called Google Nexus 10, and it will be a tablet not a mobile phone.

Of coarse the big question on these forums will be, does it have an SD card slot? :D

4.2 nice! But massive bezel nasty. No need to copy apple on that design point.

Nexus 10 sounds like a fantastic piece of kit just like its smaller 7" sibling. Google will need to market this heavily though, as the typical consumer has little or no idea about pixels and resolution and buys an iPad just because it's an iPad. Hopefuly, that will change...

If that is really what it looks like then I'm worried. It looks hideous.

It appears to be in case on that photo. I hope it's 32g storage or at least the option later on.

See you iPad, you are toast.
http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile...r-cent-1107746 It is inevitable that Android will dominate tablets as well. |

Was going to buy a 7 today till I found out about 10. Ideally I don't want to be spending more than £250 so I may be out of luck anyway but we will see.

There is no way this will be available for £250, I'm guessing they are aiming to ship out as many as possible maybe £299. Anything over that price and there are a lot of options for cheaper. Quite a few of the 10.1 Samsung tab 2's are down to £250 (with cashback) with pc world/curry's. So no way could possibly be maybe or somewhere inbetween the two prices.

I'm guessing Apple will end up with about 20% market share in tablets, remaining the largest single vendor, with Android having around 70% and Windows 10%. I'm less confident about the Android Windows split, Windows may do better due to corporate buyers.
The price point of Apple products means they will only take the premium end of the market as soon as the popularity of any segment grows to mass market. |

All that indicates is that they are not using them to browse, not that they aren't using them (if the figure is correct, a link would be nice to check your source).

Links are very useful as statistics on their own prove nothing (remember the phrase "lies, damn lies and statistics"). I don't know exactly how they know which device you are using to surf, but I have a "Desktop user agent" setting on my Android browser (Dolphin if you're interested) and I have the option of Android, iPad, iPhone or custom, so would the stats be accurate? |
