Time spent in the Big Brother House

Not sure if this has been done before, but I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd pull together a list of how long all the BB housemates spent in their houses.

The number of days is the number present for, not completed. So if someone entered on day 1 and left on day 2, that would be 2 days.

Jon, Kinga, Lea, Mikey D, Grace and Nikki all returned to their BBs (this is time spent in their original BB, no UBB or any of that rubbish) so I just added the days together.

No, the asterisks don't mean anything. I think they're a symptom of my using OpenOffice for the first time as my Microsoft Office has broken itself.

In only 6 days Shahbaz became one of the most memorable housemates of all time.

Samanda are the longest serving BB housemates ever, even if you include UBB and CBB (For Jade).. as Samanda went in before and left after Carole.

Who (apart from Beinazir and BB7 Jonathan) was the shortest? How did Victoria compare with BB11 Laura?

He does rather stand out from the rest of the 'one week or less' crowd when compared to the likes of Laura BB11 and Sunita, yes.

Yes, they're good standard-bearers for BB .

I hadn't totted it up, so I'm relieved it isn't Jade, even with CBB5.

It should be possible to scroll the box all the way down to the blink-and-you'll-miss-them HMs. It may not be obvious on some browsers.

The code box is a bit of a weird way to show the list, but I found if I just copied and pasted straight off a spreadsheet it squashed the names, BB numbers and days up against each other. This is a bit easier to read.

It does show just how completely screwed over Victoria and Beinazir were. Only one person managed to walk in a shorter time than they were evicted.

Samanda will never be beaten. On Ch5, I doubt a series will ever last that long again.

Wasn't a fan of Samanda (or anyone in BB8) but I'm glad for the show's sake it's not 13 weeks anymore.

So it is. I have no idea what [code] means. Sigh.

Isaac then: in for less time than Beinazir, less time than Victoria or Laura.

I think he is only remembered for one sentence, and that was rather creepy.

Carole was on our TVs for that long?

One of the things which struck me about this, although it's obvious really, was just how much longer some of the winners were in the house than others.

Pete, Rachel and Sophie were in the house almost half as long again as Craig, Brian D, Kate, Cameron and Aaron. In fact Chanelle - easily BB's longest lasting walker - was in almost as long as the short-serving winners, as was the frequently forgotten Jennie.

Pete would presumably have won at any time, but perhaps the different lengths suited different people? Sophie won after more likely-looking candidates had burned out or turned the public against them. Difficult to say whether any of the actual winners would have lost the show if it was longer.

I don't know what it's for either really. Presumably DS thinks people might want to post ?programming code and it looks nice spaced like this. The scrolling box might be rather useful if it was pages and pages of unintelligible (to most people) stuff, and I suppose they weren't likely to call it a [bigbrotherhousematelengthofstay] box.

It is startling how some HMs are remembered as being a noticeable part of a BB whilst others who were there longer aren't remembered as being so.

Isaac is at least remembered, though not for any qualities of his own, as playing a crucial role in The Epic Tale of Noirin and her Hundred Husbands.

Who would honestly remember George as staying longer than Lesley BB8 and almost as long as Lesley BB6 and Rebeckah BB13?

I'm surprised Laura BB11 lasted so long! I thought she was only there for about 5 minutes.

Not many people disliked her in the house. They only had to live with her, and didn't have the benefit of editing or demolition jobs on BBLB.

It'd be interesting to see a similar stats on how many days all the housemates survived without being put up for eviction - it'd be an interesting if very flawed guide to how well-liked they were in the house.

She was a bit lucky. She had 26 nominations in total by the time she was evicted just before the final which is quite a few, albeit a distant third to nom-magnets Marcus (46) and Freddie (45) who were evicted earlier. (In BB9, which was the same length, Rex had 30 noms, Mo 26 and Rachel 22 by the end, and they'd all faced head-to-heads. Bex had picked up 20 by week 7)

She would have been up and gone in a head-to-head with Charlie in week 7 if standard procedures had been in place, but BB was messing with noms at the time, and in the end the eviction was cancelled anyway when Kenneth went over the wall.

She'd have probably gone in week 9 when they were all put up if it had been a standard negative vote. As it was we lost Hira.

It was only just before the final that she was up for a negative vote and left with a whopping 68.6% out of 6 people.

Sorry, I like facts and stats .

Well, possibly. BB10 had an obvious in-crowd who didn't nominate each other, which we can probably say was without nom-fixing. Charlie only had 10 noms by the final, and Sophie just 6.

I wasn't watching BBLB during BB10. I was aware of people getting excited about the benefits-thing which I didn't care about and Freddie's conviction that she was responsible for everyone disliking and nominating him, which she probably wasn't.

OTOH, I was disappointed by Lisa, being biased in her favour at the start of the show as I'd recently become close friends with a mohican-sporting lesbian (and obviously all lesbians have to have the same personality by law).

She wasn't exactly a warm ray of sunshine, rather someone easy to get on the wrong side of and hard to get back on their right side.

Lol. I think that's fair. If only criticism during the series had been like that instead of the foul abuse we actually got.

Actually I think she was probably a bit nicer than your last paragraph makes her sound, but the BB house, and Freddie in particular, knocked her badly off balance. She was quite sweet to Marcus, for example, in the end, telling him how much she respected him. And at the last BBLB (or possibly BBBM - whichever programme finished it all off, with them all together again) it was noticable that poor Kris sat like a medieval leper, ignored by everyone (and looking perma-miserable), except by Lisa. I think she was generally a kind person except when someone seemed posh; which was unreasonable of course, but shows insecurity rather than conscious malice.

I'm sure they've got Jennie's stay wrong. She appeared just before half-way through a 93-day series so I think she did more like 50 days rather than 60.

I thought the Half-way House started on Day 45 so none of the Half-way house mates could have done more than fifty days. Does time on this site not go back as I see posts nearly a hour ahead of the time on my clocks?

You're both right. It started on day 44 and BB7 ended on day 93. She was in for 50 days, not 60. It's probably my mistake.

Not sure about the time on the site. Is the clock on your computer right? I had an idea forums and things took their cue from that but I don't really know.

Before I logged in the site was on BST. Now I'm logged in it's showing GMT.

The non-logged in clock on this site always takes an age to switch over. No idea why.

Find it an interesting fact that Imogen was in the house longer than any other female in BB7, only missing the last week, while every female who made the final was either a latecomer or was out of the house for a while.
