Bright new shiny thread for the bright new shiny series...
Actually I hope they haven't mucked about with the format or anything *FINGERS CROSSED* Difficult to see how they could've found better finalists than last year... stonkingly good year 2011 See y'all later... |

Woohoo! I knew it must be soonish, but couldn't find the start date when I searched last weekend.
Can't wait. My favourite of the Masterchef variants. Last year's series will be hard to beat - the three finalists were fantastic. |

I see Ash is bringing out his debut cookbook this November. Of course it is based around Basque cuisine.

Really looking forward to it, saw the photo of Monica, MRJ & Shrek on the M/C FB page.
TBH, I think Shrek looks out of his depth on this programme now.. |

Can anyone tell me when this series is starting?
I tried to search the BBC website, but it only seems to give information about past series. |

Did they ever do a follow up series... Shame if they didn't as I have loved the Antipodean versions with the kids... who seem to be a helluva lot better cooks than our (UK) grownups But I think that is a lot to do with the format, number of eps and challenges which brings out their best and actually seem to teach them stuff. We have so few episodes there is little progress and no chance to learn. Well that's how it seems to me...Profs is my abs favs of the UK format... Especially with Monica the Merciless putting them through their paces. Last year's fav moments when the conrtestants' skills test involved preparing a pigeon ... when it still had it's feathers on... Priceless... followed by 3 out of 4 burning their tarts under the grill. FFS... Professional my a*se... roll on Monday... |

OMG...I am so excited. Problem is I won't get to see it for "a while" after it's aired and will have to keep away from all the threads :'(

I'm so looking forward to seeing the lovely Michel and Monica tonight.
Not so sure about Greg though, he seems a bit out of place amongst the professionals. |

Love the way they describe Shrek -"Masterchef dining expert". Not in my book he ain't.
So looking forward to MRJ and Monica! |
