Hi Guys.

Anyone out there with this new box having problems with CEC once they've connected it to their TV?
Just had a customer in who uses Viera Link on their TV for Blu-Ray & SoundBar control. This function is killed immediately when they connect the new box to the TV.
All units are connected into their own sockets on the TV so no switch boxes to cause problems.

Have had issuse with Humax & CEC systems before but can't remember how or if they got resolved.

No CEC control capability on any Humax kit. There have been problems with Panny TV's as hdm1 auto selects on port activity as well as CEC (similar to an auto switch). The Foxsat-hdr briefly wakes the hdmi on waking to await AR recording starts annoyingly selecting the port. Not sure if HDR-1000s does the same (there's no sign of activity 15 mins before a AR recording is due to start).

Might be an idea to try swapping the inputs around on the TV.

Hi Graham,
Thanks for the reply. I am aware that the Humax does not have CEC but am concerned that it is knocking out the CEC system for other devices once it is connected.
Our customer has called Humax who very "helpfully" just told him to turn off the Viera Link feature. This despite the fact it is vital for the rest of the kit that has joined the 21st century to operate properly!
The Soundbar can only connect to HDMI2 as this carries the ARC signal which is also disabled once Viera link is turned off.
The Humax is connected to HDMI 3 & a Panasonic Blu-ray is in HDMI4, and a Panasonic Freeview HD recorder is in HDMI1
