Well I opened my tin of Quality Street weighing 820 g knowing its smaller. But I got it cheap for 4.50 quid so it wasnt so bad.
Counted the chocs and there were
80
From most to least....

10 strawberry creme ..red wrapper
10 fudge ... pink wrapper
8 coconut eclair ... blue wrapper
8 orange creme ... orange wrapper
8 toffee penny ... gold wrapper
8 toffee finger .. '' '' '' '' ''''''''
8 toffee delux ...brown wrapper
5 orange chocolate crunch ...octagonal orange wrapper
5 the green triangle .... green wrapper
4 milk choc block .... '' ''' '' '' '''''''''
3 caramel swirl ..... gold wrapper :'''''''''
3 the purple one ..... purple wrapper

I tasted them and most are okay.Disappointed in the small amount of 5 of them, but the worst thing was the orange cremes. They tasted different and were a bit stronger /not so nice ...3 / 10. I have had 3 tins recently. Quality Street , Roses and Heroes. Im my opinion Heroes were the best.

My favourites are the strawberry and orange ones, they tasted the same to me, although sometimes I do forget to chew them

I hate the strawberry and orange ones. I would not be happy iff that was my tin!

We fight over the strawberry and orange ones in this house and most of the rest get left. It has got to the point where we have to count them out and share them haha

The tins have got smaller and I wouldn't be surprised if there's more toffees (cheap to make). I remember a few years back when Cadbury's heroes removed crunchies and dreams and replaced them with eclairs.

The eclairs are terrible in Heroes. I like the creme egg ones best

I've always preferred Cadbury's Roses to Quality Street.

Saying that, I do love the green triangles in QS.

I am glad they still do the purple one, that's my favourite. But only 3? That is very disappointing.

Christmas 2008 i bought 12 Tubs of celebrations tipped them all on the floor and separated them so 1 tub for each.

I found there are way way more Mars and Snickers in these tubs than any other.

I filled over 2 tubs with just mars, same with Snickers and could not even do half a tub with each of the Galaxy ones (Normal, Truffle, & Caramel) which are my favourite ones. I was not happy!!! So i do not think in any of these tins its remotely even.

Has anyone seen the new plastic Quality Street tins. They would fit through a letterbox and it should be renamed Shrinking Street. I dug out an old empty tin of Cadburys Roses and it was 1.5 k. Now you get almost half that and hardly any of the chocolates you like. RIP OFF

Sainsburys currently have the 700gm Quality Street jars at £3, which is way better value than the 850gm tins @ £5.

The funniest is the advert with the giant looking tin of quality street where the girl gets sucked into it. Its about 5 times the actual size of a tin.

The strawberry and orange creams are horrible now. They seem strong and liquidy. In fact I wont buy anymore as theyve ruined them

We have one of those plastic "tins" here in our office. I can't believe the size of it - 795g. I placed an old tin I was using from a 2-3 years back next to it to compare (1.2kg), it's quite shocking when you see the difference.

My mum got a reduced tin and it was tiny.

The purple and green ones are the only decent ones.

Someone posted a Flickr picture of the shrinking tins in recent years on another thread about QS.

Easter Eggs used to be really nice when I was younger - Cadbury's ones were heaven - the chocolate was really think and I always found the centre of the egg even nice than the edges, as the chocolate was really thick - but not any more
