issues with new Humax box

My shiny new Humax Freetime box arrived yesterday + I set it all up fine. It showed a broadband signal + "discovered" my 2 dish connections fine. After a play around I noticed I don't seem to have ITV player, just iPlayer (plus 4+5 are showing as coming soon) but no sign of itv at all?!

Despite the 2 connections setting up fine it now only shows one. I've disconnected + reconnected + nothing makes a difference, so I'm sure it's not my cables (plus they worked great on my Sky+ HD til yday lunchtime when I installed my Freetime box) I did a test just now of recording 2 shows at once tho + they both seemed to work?!

I'm very disapointed with these problems as I've been so excited for this to arrive + to ditch Sky! Any thoughts or input much appreciated

ITV Is it on channel 903 - wait for up to 20 secs for it to load) or follow earlier. (This is a guess but past programmes may take a little longer to initially populate the EPG,

It is thought that this could be a power saving feature - that is only powering tuners when needed. As a ex-Sky user you will not be used to this as they power them 24 hours a day. If you start a recording and then switch the live programme to a channel on another transponder you will see both turners active. Each tunder displays the signal for the tuned transponder - so they can be different.

Thanks for the signal info- makes a lot of sense!!

I've typed 903 in and it says "not available" and when I look in the EPG 903 doesn't seem to exist. My network settings show as being able to connect to iPlayer + ITVplayer tho?! :/

Try opening the epg, type 103 to goto ITV1. Press left until you find some ITV catch up content. What happens when you click OK on a programme ?

It doesn't give me the option to go left to find earlier programs. It does on BBC1 but not on any of the ITV channels.

Try using an English postcode, sounds as if you are using a STV or UTV area code.

That's exactly what was wrong. They should really make it clear that Scottish viewers cannot get ITVplayer, how annoying. Have changed my postcode to a random London one I found online + will set up favourite channels with BBC Scotland etc.

Thanks very much.... Very glad I didn't call Currys to complain about my broken box!

You are welcome. A Borders postcode might be closer to home.
