It always reminds me of the Les Dawson joke:

Quote:
“I said to my wife, 'Treasure' - I always call her Treasure, she reminds me of something that's just been dug up. ”

It's definitely subjective in this instance. But I think Terry's off his meds haha

When you hear the rapturous cheers and applause as Anne and Dear Russell take to the dance floor again you will realize that the Great British Public love and admire them both and that it is The Great British Public that has bestowed National Treasure status upon them.

Widdy and Russell do not feature in my dreams. My one involves a certain poster and a carefully aimed grand piano.

It has to be a wind up. I can't believe otherwise.

I find it quite hard to believe that any reasonable person could find anything wrong with popular celebrities like Anne Widdecombe and Russell Grant giving their time and celebrity status free of charge to raise very large sums of money for a worthy charity cause like 'Children in Need' , we should have more charity fund raising events like this, not less.

You make it sound like ALL fundraising for CIN will be down to Widdecombe and Russell. Their appearance will not make any positive difference.
Apart from giving me a slot for making tea during the Wembley special.

Personally I think it's a shame she's even in the same country as civilised people.

The rapturous applause is only 'cos there are fllunkeys from the Beeb with cue cards up telling everyone to clap louder and you know what crowds are like, they get carried along in the moment.

I think its fabulous that Anne's popularity has grown so much since her recent forays into dancing and glamour, I wish I had the original of this portrait of Anne instead of just a print.

Thank you. I needed a good giggle .The painting is good though and I wouldn't criticise how Ms Widdicombe looks.

I wish she'd just pack it her career in showbiz.

Strictly Come Dancing fans across the country will be digging deep for Children in Need, and quite right too, its a great cause.

Does 'Good old Sir Terry Wogan' still take his fee for the night?

I found a " tribute to Anne Widdecombe " on you tube but I can't get the link to work yet.

Terry you are such a tedious man. No one in their right mind would think the way you do about the Great Titted Trout.

You WUM skills are sadly lacking though. You are a WUM aren't you ? If not, I fear for your sanity.

There is nothing wrong with my mind that I know off thank you very much, we all have our own personal tastes and preferences, you like Gavin, and I like Anne, each to their own, its as simple as that.

I think that is because you tube is protesting most strongly.

It was actually more of a guess than a good memory, all the girls love Gavin, some of the boys love Anne.

Kimberley is going to be following in Anne's footsteps this weekend and flying like a bird over the Strictly dance floor.

" Kimberley Walsh will do an Ann Widdecombe and fly this weekend "

" Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ann Widdecombe wowed the judges and the audience when, in 2010, she “flew” onto the dance floor "

Quotes from 'UnrealityTV' article

Dear Russell say's he's excited to be back for Children in Need.

" "I'm thrilled to be back on Children in Need as I was in the first one ever!" he announced.

"And to be dancing with Flavia once more is a Strictly dream come true. A fantastic cause doing something I love! Everyone's a winner!" "

We are all a winner Russell, I can't wait to see you.
