And he didnt know whether he would be able to sing! my only thought on this is lucy is very near the bottom 2.. and Xfactor thinking they can get rid of 1 of the other acts near the bottom they dont want!? cos if you take 1 of the bottom 2/3 in danger acts out the other danger ed act is even more likely to go.. unless lucy's votes go to them?

Yeah because Gary is Mr. Integrity and Honesty. With a "bad case of flu" you can barely get out of bed. You cannot perform when you have flu, it is impossible. It was a cold.

I just don't feel as willing to support Lucy not performing as I was of Diana not performing - especially as the public image of Lucy is going out and getting drunk as she did on October 24th. The fact that Rylan is also complaining that he's ill after the same night out speaks volumes. If it's genuine illness then it's understood - however, given what we know about Lucy and the attention she's received in the press, I very much doubt that it is. |

Very much like last year when Marcus performed whilst ill - it wasn't even mentioned until the Sunday night Xtra Factor show by Gary, who said that he didn't want Marcus to get through on a sympathy vote. Marcus got through that night thanks to his performance and his fanbase, rather than sympathy. That's the best way to handle illness on the show, and I did think it was a smart move last year. Jade did the same thing last week, so it's feasible.

The difference between flu 'proper' and a bit of a cold, can be determined with a twenty pound note apparently
You look out the window and see a twenty pond note fluttering about in the garden ... if you've got a bit of a cold you go and get it ... if you've got flu proper, you can't be arsed I'm not sure where 'man 'flu' fits into the equation though |
