What spin? It wasn't meant to be vitriolic, slightly tongue-in-cheek actually, if you're referring to 'how dare she' but of course you couldn't 'hear' my tone or see my face.

Her 4th week and she's already getting too big for her boots.

Was that the hand of the producer on Bruno's shoulder?

I think a lot of this is scripted / manipulated. I don't care so much about Darcey et al but wish the chosen music weren't crap

I found the presence of that red hand on his shoulder quite confusing.

Like others I think on Strictly the judages should rise above critising each other - think perhaps there's an instruction to "X-factor it up a bit" and have disputes between each other.

Not needed (like the stupid VTs).

If it is at all genuine, then I don't worry about Craig - he's the only judge who really knows what he's talking about and backs it up with good points, and he's robust enough to take it. In fact, he is the star amongst the judges....perhaps there's some envy there?

To be honest if we lost any of the other judges, Bruce, Tess or Zoe (yes please lose her!) I wouldn't worry (not all at once mind you...that would be too much) but if Craig went I'd be really upset.

I think Darcey is a fab addition to the panel. She's classy, knowledgeable, has humour and looks great.

Oh dear, I didn't want to admit it because I thought she was great on the first show, but she is borning me now. Perhaps I was just so overwhelmed that Alesha had gone that I would have liked anybody. Please, why can't we have Arlene - witty, passionate and knowlegeable.

You're not alone in thinking that!

I was shocked by her discourtesy towards him to be honest. It is OK to say she disagrees but to tell him he was wrong was out of order. Who the hell does she think she is?

I agree. Really the post was meant as a bit of fun, though I did think it was incorrect of Darcey to say Craig was wrong because she disagreed with what he said. But some people like to get on their high horse

Len tells Craig he's wrong all the time...it's no big deal...in my opinion of course.

Whenever someone tells me not to start I point out that I already did!

She's probably been asked to stir it up on the panel now she's been there a few weeks.

Darcy should ignore such requests.

Craig may be your star he is not mine .I cant stand his Dahlings and his fakeness .I wouldnt miss him at all to be honest .
But agree with you about the false disagreements , I cant see the point at all .

It's funny, because I've read through this thread wondering what the cause of the disagreement was (I honestly can't remember) and I'm still none the wiser.

I'd rather make up my own mind based on the evidence they each gave to back up their views (if any). I don't think any of the judges are always right or always wrong.

(Craig often says Len or Bruno are wrong on ITT, and so they all do it.)

[quote=NaturalDancer;61945167]How dare she tell Craig he's wrong grrrr. Because she disagreed with what he said doesn't make him wrong.
I do agree.

Might cost her the gig if she ignored any such tips from the producers, but FWIW I too prefer her constructive tips to the couples.

At last somebody who thinks the same as me.I find her voice utterly grating and her sense of superiority (smugness) really gets on my nerves. The quicker they get rid of her the better.
The BBC should stop trying younger female judges (why not younger male judges ?) and bring back Arlene, who at least knows what she's talking about.

Darcey is over forty. I wouldn't bring back Arlene for the world, she went too, too far with her rudeness towards contestants. Darcey is great, very constructive in her criticisms.

I have not read most of the thread, just commenting on one point which may resonate with more than one viewer.

Whenever a celeb stands before the judges after a dreadful performance, Darcey would give a more or less technical critique, then she would follow it with praise on some other aspect so extravagant as to feel disingenuous, as if to soften the blow. Then when her paddle is raised, real criticism and questionable praise is combined to arrive at a fudged paddle of 5 or 6.

To be vicious, drawing blood, would be unkind, unproductive, unnecessary -- Craig has already cornered that market to his own ££ benefit.

Darcey needs to bear in mind that as ballet dancer of world class she needs to keep clear blue water between herself and any perception of superiority and smugness. A celeb could misconstrue kind words as being patronised with praise invented to soften the blow -- that would be an insult in reverse. It would be better to tell it straight in Darcey's natural kind voice.

In Strictly Darcey is the examiner. Not easy to combine that with the role of a parent building up a child after an exam flop. I take no pleasure in saying this, as I am Darcey's adoring fan.
