Was he better than Denise? No! So why did the judges give him 3 eights? Even a 7 is pushing it for me! Some serious over marking from the judges tonight!

Yes he was better tonight (not better than Denise) but I don't think he was that good. Perhaps they were so shocked he'd improved at all that they picked up the wrong paddles

Yes it was better. Her routine felt a bit safe.

Enjoyed Michael way more than Denise. Perhaps the judges did also!

Yes, he was quite a lot better than Denise. Her cha cha lacked good hip action and attack. By comparison Michael's quickstep was clean, sharp and well delivered. And a 31 in week 4 is hardly overmarking particularly compared to other years...

Denise danced a rather slow, careful Cha Cha. I wasn't impressed.

Michael moved like quicksilver as befits the quickstep.
Unlike many others he was not distracted from dancing to make gruesome gestures at the camera. Denise was.

last week i wished he had gone instead of jerry hall, but i thought he was fab this week.

He deserved his marks tonight, IMO.

Denise was rather flat and tentative.

yes he was better than Denise. I didn't think she was that good tonight - definitely below par.

I agree. I usually enjoy Denise's dances, but not tonight. I thought Michael's quickstep was great. Sid had had problems during the week and would have been better staying with Iveta rather than changing back to Ola again.
Having said all that, I don't like these theme weeks, and I think the gimmicks and daft videos spoil the programme.

Yes he was both better and more entertaining than Denise.

If we're talking over marking look no further than Louis. He was really good but if his routine tonight was worth 9s then Denise's. jive was worth 12s!!!

I've given Denise credit previously even though she's not my favourite but she wasn't good tonight. She fell out of the box thing, she nearly fell off the chair, she was unstable, stiff and wooden with very little hip movement.

Michael, on the either hand, danced a very acknowledged QS really well that had the potential to be a car crash.

Not only is Michael's the only dance I would watch again from this week, I voted for him as well, which is something I thought I would NEVER do!

Seems like I'm in the minority when it comes to Michael!

He didn't make any mistakes, he was in time through the whole dance, he looked like he was leading...definitely worth 8s! Natalie is amazing.

I agree. Louis was over marked tonight, he was good, but not THAT good. Equal top with Michael on 32 would have been fairer. I thought they were rather kind to Victoria as well.

Michael deserved those scores tonight. He did so well & Natalie is an amazing teacher.

Denise lifted her front foot off the floor a couple of times too; can't think of the actual step, it's after a cha cha step then you step back and the toe of the front foot should remain on the floor but you lift the heel. It may seem nit-picking to some but that's how the step should be done.

Michael is a true honest tryer and Natalie is clearly working her socks off to get him as far as possible in the competition-well done to both of them imo!
