To be honest I think Gary humiliated himself. I'm not a Tulisa fan but all she was doing was judging the act (she gets paid for it!) and Gary wen't with a personal comment because he had nothing left to say. My respect level for him has went down to -10.

I totally agreee. It was out of order and shocked how posters think he owned her. Owning someone is about a put down when THEY are out of order and she is right his song choices have been crap. Also owning someone is NOT about humiliating

Well, if you want te be serious about it - Tulisa had the nerve to accuse someone who has not been in the bottom two yet of 'murdering all his songs every week'. Personally, I think this is hyperbole and superlative criticism for no apparent reason. She then had the gall to apply some of this ridiculous criticism to Gary and imply it was his fault and that 'he was told every week by the other judges that he had got it wrong'. If this isn't getting a bit personal first before Gary even opened his mouth then I don't know what is.

All Gary did was stop her in her tracks by demonstrating to her that two can play at that game.

And then after a full 30 seconds all she could come up with was to say basically exactly the same thing Gary had about her. Oscar Wilde would hardly be shitting himself.

It had the twin virtues of being a) unexpected and b) first. It also fulfilled it's purpose, which people seem to have missed - there was zero further criticism of Gary's act.

If Louis had stood on the judge's table and dropped his trousers, it would have been both of those things and would also stop any criticism of his act.

I actually think it will get several ofcom complaints- I found it very awkward and embarrassing to watch. (I'm not sad enough to complain myself though.)
