Did the X Factor forget it's poppy season or something?

It's poppy season now, and during an break I flicked over to BBC One to see if Casualty had finished (it had), and the National Lottery was on, and host OJ Borg was wearing a poppy, and I thought to myself 'Hmm, how come the judges/Dermot/contestants at the X Factor aren't wearing any?'

What do you guys think?

Still two weeks between now and Remembrance Day. Perfectly reasonable for them to not be wearing it yet.

It's not a season lol. I'm sure they'll wear them nearer remembrance day.

Next week probably. I haven't even seen anyone selling them yet this year.

Plenty of time. Poppies are really only meant for 11th November. Personally they seem to be appearing earlier & earlier & I think that reduces the impact somewhat

It's Poppy Day, not season and Remembrance Day is the Sunday nearest to 11th November. I'm sure they will wear poppies nearer the time.

Its Rememberence weekend in two weeks. So I wouldn't expect them to do it this early.

Be interesting to see if Nicole wears one, did Kelly last year?

I can't recall whether Kelly wore one last year, but I would imagine all four judges, Dermot, and the contestants will be showing their respect by wearing poppies the Saturday before Remembrance Sunday.

Halloween week & wearing the poppies would've given off a bit of a zombie vibe if you ask me.

Didn't Kelly or Tulisa wear a poppy ring last year but it wasn't very visible and everyone was like "Why isn't she wearing a poppy?!"

I think it's for the best they didn't wear them this week because it would be disrespectful with all the Halloween/zombie type outifts.

Did they wear them on Strictly today? I can't even remember...

Perhaps they could actually have have a plant pot with a real live poppy on the judges desk. That would be a nice touch.

It's poppy season now,
Poppy season is spring!

I once purchased a raffle ticket in aid of the poppy appeal. Ever since then they have used my address to send a mountain of snail junk mail begging for more money. This must be costing the charity many £100s and much more than the average person "pays" towards their remembrance Poppy. As a result of this wasteful use of money collected it's one charity that I will no longer support.

It’s a new form of fascism.
