Is it just me........
or does anyone else just not see what the fuss is about with James Arthur?
That was a truly horrendous rendition of a classic song and I was thinking surely tonight the panel will tell him the truth and yet still they heaped phrase on him. It's a bit of "the Emperor's New Clothes" type situation isn't it? No one will admit the truth. Just had to listen to the Annie Lennox version to remind myself how it should sound. |

No it isn't just you, none can sing it better then Annie, the hype around James is annoying, he isn't anything special, but different strokes and all that. I personally thought Rebecca sung it better the year Matt won.

He's a musician isn't he ?
That's why he's on the show I guess ... rather than just wanting to be 'famous' He was the stand out tonight I thought ( last week too ) |

Completely agree, I just don't get it either and he has no X Factor at all.
Sometimes I wonder if I am watching a different show to the judges. I thought Ella was the best by far tonight and yet she got negative comments. She must be getting more votes than the chosen one. |

Me too. I was waiting for him to get a pasting - or at least the blame to be heaped on his mentor for a diabolical choice/arrangement.

It wasn't the Eurythmics version though - it was the Marilyn Manson version. It sounded ok I suppose. Kind of spooky and miserable like MM.

I don't like his singing. He groans incoherently.
