Richard's Paso

...was like Austin's Paso. The music made it look more dramatic that it really was. But kudos to Richard for trying to butch it up. Yes, it was far from perfect, but I was surprised he could pull off that dark matador look. Maybe the make up helped him. Besides some silly 'stompings', it was a valiant effort and I hope he'll not be in the bottom two. The positions of bottom two should be for Sid and Colin.

I noticed a lot of similar moves to Austin's. OK, he couldn't pull them off the same way and Erin shouldn't have suggested he do the jump, but I must say the production of it was really tremendous. I mean...I hate the general tackiness of theme weeks usually but I thought the mediaeval set up and fire was amazing. You'd have to have a non existent pulse not to love the music as well.

Objectively he shouldn't be there as his Paso was at least a recognisable dance that wasn't done at 0.5 mph, but...

I just don't enjoy watching him. I don't like how he's overfamiliar with Erin and his contestants by kissing them, hugging them overly etc. I don't find him funny and I think his dances are boring.

So, erm, I'd be happy to see him go.

I enjoyed Richard and Erin's Paso, can't say the same about quite a few of the other dances but there you go. Hope Richard is safe tonight...Ooops I mean tomorrow!

Me too. It was a bit awkward in places but it was a much better choreographed paso than Kimberley's.

I really enjoyed it but then I don't know if it was because it bought back pleasant memories of Austin's paso which still makes me laugh out loud with joy when I think about it.

Yes, was really let down by Pasha with that...it was a weird mishmash.

Oh yes. *Smiles contentedly, replaying every move in mind.*

Just watched it again on YouTube and omg, it's awesome. Erin gets slaughtered for her Latin choreography, but that Pasha, is proper paso.

How did he get it so wrong? Thought he was among the better of the 'newer' intake.

Oh you can never have enough of Austin doing paso. You can never have enough of Austin full stop. I'm going off to rewatch some of his and Queen Erin's now, as generally cheesed off with the class this year. Only Michael and Victoria have sort of woken up.

I think he was ordered to do the theme even though it didn't really fit paso. They did a bit of arm wafting but no flamenco, no stomping and ha-ing. I love the paso, it's one of my favourites when it's danced well or more accurately, choreographed well, but it doesn't happen very often.

I doubt anyone would try to paso to Hungry like the Wolf unless told to... Erin and Richard definitely had the pick of the paso music tonight.

(Pssst... Austinwozrobbed!)

All seemed a bit wafty and weird to me.

Paso really only fits Spanish music. They try and do rock 'classics' to them and they rarely work, because you think what the fork does it have to do with a bullfight.

Either Espani Cani or Malaguena. That's it. That's the two really good pasos I've seen on SCD.

I think Erin, like Artem, is amazing with the dramatic dances the fun and cheesy not so much. Although I do absolutely adore Artem's anti-charlestons. He's not doing that stupid gurning and ridiculous "FUN, FUN, FUN" moves for anyone. Erin's the same with the salsa, samba, cha cha, charleston. She either can barely contain the growl or disappears off to Erin island.

I'm more over it than you are.

I never mention the wozrobbed, I just thought that paso was like Austin's in a good way.

I agree and when the judge (Craig?) said he looked stompy because he was lifting his leg up too high, it made perfect sense. I so wanted to like it, but he didn't quite pull it off.

Maybe you've had better therapists than me.

No.

Now if Austin had done that music....OK. I'm stopping now because this is not good for my mental health.

Nah, Austin's revenge is that he is remembered fondly on here with people genuinely loving a lot of his dances, whereas Snowdon is remembered with hysterical laughter.

I suppose I can get over it.

When Bruce retires which is like never.

*pats*

There, there. Just think, if he'd won, he too could have reappeared last week with an army of clones

Just go and watch Bacofoil, and try to imagine Austin's face watching it.

I've just been rewatching some of Chelsee and Pasha's dances. They had a proper paso. *sniff* Wozrobbed!
