Just go and watch Bacofoil, and try to imagine Austin's face watching it.

I've just been rewatching some of Chelsee and Pasha's dances. They had a proper paso. *sniff* Wozrobbed!”

Lots of Austins in a chorus line waving canes. No, couldn't cope. He wouldn't either with that, he was sexy Gene Kelly, not poncy Fred.

I can see his face all right, sarcastic little bugger he was. I did the Chelseeh and Pash rewatching last week. Theywuzrobbed.

Austin's Paso is still my all time favourite on Strictly.

Oh Buddy...it was great wasn't it. And tango, Cha, QS, Jive, Waltz....

Still a rotten result the following week however you slice it but he's definitely the best dancer never even to get to the semi.

Someone really should have recorded his face for posterity. I wonder if he's ever seen the infamous YT version with DS commentary...

It cheers me up no end in a perverse way that the one he went out to ended up such a classic case of schadenfreude.

If he has, he could probably add a few lines.

Fair enough, Emmeline cut it out, you'll make Nancy's face all red and blotchy again.

I think Richards paso was ok to an extent. Not the worst offering SCD has seen. It was one of Richard's better dances and he had useable music for a paso. I think what needs to be separated is what Erin choreographed and what he danced. Erin's paso was full of proper recognisable paso choreography, but Richard could have danced it better. He needed to tilt his hips forward a bit more, lift his ribcage and use his left arm more for something!
Having said all that I personally thought he was a point or two undermarked. In the scheme of things though it probably wouldn't have changed his overall position so not a moot point.

While we're on the subject of Austin, may I bring up the subject of his jive?

That was a proper man's jive. It was disgusting how he was marked down just because he didn't have skinny straight arms.

I think it looked even better because the bulk of his upper body made his footwork appear more impressive.

I don't mind Richard and I think he is getting better every week, however I do wish he would stop all the pawing and kissing of Erin, it embarasing Richard, give it up

'And if you don't like the way I look well I just don't give a damn.....'

Ah happy days.

I reckon Erin should not have told him not to mince. Even Austin was a bit camp in places when he did it,and not a problem IMO since the dance demands a bit of flourish. I quite liked "butch" Richard though!

I ought to hold my hand up and say I wasn't an Austin fan as such - nothing against him or anything. I certainly did think he was better than Lisa though. He probably is the best male celeb not to make the final (close run thing between him and Aled though), but for me Louisa is the best celeb not to make the final.

Not counting the group one in the second week, yes.

I thought he improved greatly on previous weeks. I'm not a big fan of Erin but she did well with him this week.

I never 'got' the Emma love, but I didn't dislike her. Louisa was a little powerhouse!

She was another Kimberley. So bland and nothing interesting to say. Nothing interesting on the floor either. I still remember Louisa's socking jive with 6 hours training!

Why is it the judges undermark Richard - given he has content in his dances and Lisa is overmarked for poor technique and very little content
