She couldn't find a rhyme for Halloween for this week'sself-penned jolly song to the same tune as last week's and the week before's.

She's seemily got flu. Had it all week and its severe. Of its so severe, then how come she was fit enough to go to a Halloween party on a Wednesday and a premiere. Surely xfactor is more important?? It's rediculous! And she's rubbish anyway!

It's been a few days since either of those happened, and since 'flu typically has a sudden onset and there are numerous strains that affect people in different ways, it's perfectly plausible she's become quickly too ill to do the show this week.

If she has 'severe flu' as some are claiming I doubt she'll be well enough to appear next week.Last time I had true influenza I was weak and still coughing 2 weeks later.

She has 'flu' the same way that Diana had 'laryngitis' cause she screamed herself hoarse at that bonfire party.

Usually they show a VT of what the sick person has and see them in vocal training getting the 'sad news' that they get a free pass into next week, in Lucy case they brushed over it very quickly.
Jade could hardly speak last week and still sang, Lucy must have severe flu or something.
I dont think they should get a free pass.

But, if memory serves me correctly, none of the ones who've had a free pass before have had it due to 'flu. The others have had problems with their throat or vocal cords, so were perfectly well enough to attend a clinic and be filmed doing so. The poor girl's obviously on bed rest, and they're hardly going to film a sick person in their bed or send someone with 'flu to a clinic! I don't see what's so difficult for some of you to understand.

Also, it might seem unfair getting a free pass, but I think the alternative of kicking them out of the competition altogether when they're really sick is even more unfair. Especially when it's something contagious that could wipe out all the contestants.
