Lucy well enough to go the Skyfall premier and Rylan's birthday..
But not well enough the perform? I remember Princess Diana Vickers got so much stick after a VT showed her screeching on Bonfire night the week she got Laryngitis so I don't see why Lucy is any different.
If you're well enough to get your arse out of bed to a movie premier and get ridiculously drunk at a friends birthday, then you're well enough to stand on stage for a minute and a half an sing a song. |

I can't think of one song she could have done tonight without it being hilarious.
Vincent Price's intro to Thriller would have been amusing to hear, and then some ditty about meeting a zombie on the check-out in Tesco. |

I heard a rumor that she was supposed to do Howl by Florence. So glad she never performed because if she'd have ruined that I would have been left seething.

No one should touch Florence, least of all Lucy.
Should be left well alone, like Goldfrapp. |

![]() If she was hit by a car on Tuesday night and took Wednesday off work as a result, I doubt her employer would say "Well that makes no sense, she was fine on Monday!" |

You do understand that circumstances can change between, say, Monday and Saturday and that illness can develop on the days inbetween?

Is there any reason to suspect Lucy isn't actually ill? Flu can develop within hours and it can be severely debilitating.

I think it's hilarious how many DS FMs are carping about Lucy. Keep on entertaining me. Some people haven't a clue how bugs affect people day to day. I know this moaning and bellyaching will be non stop until next weekend and probably beyond knickers are so twisted.

You realise people will not listen to you as they're so up themselves with indignation. People apparently do not know how flu can be. I went to work on Tuesday and have been knocked out in a mess since then. You have to laugh at the naivety. Although frankly I think it's just those who are crying their little hearts out because they can't stand Lucy anyway and why should production favour her? Where is that facepalm smilie when you want one?

Flu is awful. I felt like I'd been run over by a truck, I couldn't lift my head off the pillow and I've never felt so ill. The severe stage lasted for about for 6 days and I was off work for a total of 10 days. People confuse flu with a feverish cold, which can be managed with over the counter remedies. There's no quick and easy cure for flu.
I wish Lucy all the best and I hope she feels better soon. Yeah, best wishes to Lucy. She said last week she planned to be in bed by 9 every night and it looks like she didn't have any choice. Production will have ensured a dr has seen her and she's being taken care of. They can't risk one of the cast . |

If it was Wednesday today you'd actually have a point. It isn't, so you don't.

It seems a plausible chain of events then that she went out without a coat for both of these events and then came down with flu on the Thursday and Friday. So the people most directly responsible would be the people who arranged for her to go out on these jaunts.

You don't get flu from going out without a coat on, it's a viral infection.

Quite a lot of people on here dont posses reasonable thought processes
Arent these people supposed to be perfecting their craft, rather than attending late night bashes which may affect their well-being? |

I am not sure that many employers would be happy if attendance at these things may have led to an employees illness and therefore non-attendance at work.
