Whether it was all inncocent or not with all the publicity surrounding Saville and celebrity culture this week is it the correct thing to encourgage young possibe future pop stars like James McArthur to think it OK to use his celibrity status to take 5 woman back to his room

Of course we all know it goes on with celebs and I am sure they will all be over 16 but still is it something that should be celebrated like a good thing on Xtra Factor??

Lets be honest its the XFactor persona that is attracting these girls to James

They're preparing him for celebrity life. They mentioned on Celebrity Juice about one of The Wanted having a five in a bed romp.

What with mentions like these preparing him for tabloids, and doing the show with Labrinth (a Syco act), it's all preparation for when they give him a deal and try to make him what Matt Cardle failed at.

Agreed, although wasn't it 3 and not 5 on Xtra? Anyway...

They try to sexualize/spice up everything they can. Look at the ''Wand/Bats'' stuff straight afterwards. Listen to Nicole, she barely stops. The JS situation and timing isn't really relevant imo. I was thinking about the comments from Frankie when seeing them promoting the party lifestyle over the hard work aspect a lot with the contestants again, this ''news'' section (which they've done before in similar fashion) reminded me of them also.

McArthur

I haven't seen the show, but if the women are all adults I don't see an issue?

I just don't understand how women fancy him! He's not attractive in the slightest. Must be the X-Factor celeb fame cos lets face it, would he still be getting the same action before he appeared on the show?

There' been several articles about his love life pre-X Factor and interviews with ex-girlfriend etc. It seems he is quite popular with the girls...I cant understand it at all, all I can think is the bad-boy image appeals to some women.

Thought it was a bit odd xtra factor implying he went back with these girls, he didnt seem paticuarly coy about the whole thing, but I certainly dont see anything wrong with it if everyone is over the age - cant see any need to mention Saville in connection, thats a very different situation. Not that im particuarly impressed by a guy who choses to act that way but it their choice,

What? What is the link between pedophilia and young adult engaging in consensual sex with other young adults?

I don't understand what is wrong with him doing it. He's an adult and if the girls are adults too, then so what?

I must have missed the bit on Xtra Factor where they clarified that James had raped those girls

You do know you can have people of the opposite sex over without sleeping with them? They asked him if the girls came to the hotel. He said yes.
He's hardly Frankie "I banged her" Cocozza. My friends and I have invited people back before for food/drinks, etc.

Even if he did sleep with one two or three girls, it's none of our business who he sleeps with? He's over 18 and as long as everyone he sleeps with is then there's absolutely nothing dodgy.

It might not be something you'd do but it doesn't make him a bad person.

I agree, he doesn't even have a decent personality to make him attractive.

Quite, what does it matter how many partners he, or anyone else has, so long as all concerned are consenting and above the legal age limit?

I think most people can see the difference between that and the whole Saville situation.

Rich.

they are trying to convince us that James is Hot. Just like they are trying to convince us that he is an exceptionally talented singer, Wrong on both counts

But isn't the XtraFactor sort of aimed at children. It's so childish in its approach. Should such things be discusses on that show? The same could be said of Nicole - my brother finds her kinda potty mouthed with all her insinuations. (And her hip thrusting last night.)

It's nothing like that situation, he didn't take children back to his hotel room, it was girls he met out in a club (where you have to be 18+ to get in). It may seem a bit inappropriate with x factor being a family show, but it was on xtra factor which is shown a lot later.

I think the sort of people who will find James Arthur appealing will probably be of the less shallow variety and won't mind his looks too much. I don't fancy him, but I love his act, I think he's great. For some of us, it's all about the emotions, not just about the sex and glamour. But children aren't very likely to appreciate that.

Ok ladies, listen up, I don't know any of you personally but those of you who consider James Arthur to be attractive heed my words; "you could do much better".

I kind of agree, I mean they apologised for "milf" two weeks ago. This was much worse for a family show.

I also found Cocozza's "I met her and I f***ed her" offensive

*"banged her"

It's still after 9pm (well after 9pm), so why can't they get away with it?

James' reaction when they mentioned the story is hilarious, they always seem to do that "newsflash" segment when a story like this has to be mentioned
