It's supposed to be a family show though, isn't it? Not particularly edifying that they're discussing the topic, even on one of the spin off shows.

I doubt many of the younger viewers would be watching that late at night.

Is it really supposed to be a family show? It's on at 10pm. Hardly peak family viewing time.
if it was on at 7pm, the OP may have a point - though not regarding JS, it doesn't compare but it's on well after the watershed and so adult themes are absolutely no issue imo.

True, but the show is still meant to be a family programme not just something for adults.....they could just as easily steer clear of this material (there was a definite sign of the show being coarsened last year with all the Frankie Cocozza stuff, right from his very first audition).

I agree, why even mention it, who cares anyway?

I'm talking about the entire X Factor franchise though, not just the Xtra Factor (and isn't it quite possible that 11 and 12 year olds would be allowed stay up late on a Saturday night to watch it?)

But there's a big difference between Frankie saying "Yeah I banged her" and James' who pretty much laughed it off and didn't say "Yeah I slept with whoever,"

I always reverse the gender in these kind of situations. Would it be considered something to brag about if Ella or one of the other girls had taken three men back to their hotel room? I rather doubt it.

He's not bad looking... there are much worst out there.. Also not getting this "terrible personality".

Maybe him calling out DS members may have hurt a little too much.

He can't help his looks, if people want to sleep with him, good luck to him.

Agree with all you posted also i cant even say it must be his personality as i think he is a miserable git so it must be his "sudden fame" to be honest i dont even believe it, but xtrafactor is like the daily star reporting on the z-listers and who they apparently went with

Looking at James MacArthur I would guess he's milking his diluted celebrity for everything he can. As soon as the show is over he'll be back for square and he knows it.. Guy really creeps me out

They repeat the show the next day (time).
