In no particular order:

Jahmene: Over sung again, could have been good if it wasn't for the off key warbles.

Rylan: Very clever bit of smoke and mirrors because the last phrase was sung by a backing vocalist. It was typically bad and who cares if Robbie Williams and Kylie like him.

James: Not bad but needs to bring the angst down a notch you don't need it in every song. Notwithstanding that, it was the best of the night.

Ella: Fell of her pedestal, god that was horrible.

Jade: Costume thumbs up - I am a bloke after all - the rest of it nah!

District 3: Oh my god it was bad!

Union J: Gary was right it was over produced and really boring.

Kye: I don't know where this bloke is coming from. He can sing but what exactly is his thing. Don't try to be Robbie - there is only one.

Christopher: The grannies will like him but if I hear another 80's power ballad that I didn't like first time around I will go insane.

Did I miss anyone, if I did they must have left a mark - not. All in all it was a very bad night in a series of very bad nights.

a) Get rid of the mash up's.

b) Judges or whoever thinks up the themes - get a decent one for goodness sake and choose some songs that suit your contestants.

As television was broken I subjected my beighbour to watching this show. Awful song choices by the queen of errrrbun Tulisa, ruining her acts chances as Jade and Ella had good voices and looks prior to make overs...Jahmene did over sing- love im but wasn't great. Acutally at least that boyband sang well triple wotsits and James Arthur was cool but still a bit unamazeballs.....

Do feel producers have elected Jade as the act to go under the bus tonight

The whole programme is beyond a motorway pile up

Well, I'm a bloke and Jade does nothing for me!

But, I agree, her performance was, for me, uncomfortable viewing, she didn't look comfortable herself.

I disagree about Jahmene's vocal, I thought, thankfully, at last, he's really got the "vocal acrobatics," under control and the only point where I winced, slightly, tuning wise was at the "La," section, but I think he got that under control pretty quickly.

The boy bands...cue..screams, regardless of how they perform were both weak..I think Union J's backing vocals were cheated and District 3, who actually can sing accurate vocal harmonies were given a real bum rap and not for the first time, from their "mentor."

Re Ella, totally agree with you and my first thoughts listening to it was that the key was way too low.

Re Rylan..well said, though I totally rate Kylie and totally don't rate Robbie Williams, but I'm not sure that Robbie's "masterclass," did anything to improve Rylan's vocal abilities.

Rich.

Even the judges are getting sick of mashups. Gary did a mashup for Kye a few weeks ago, and he complains last night after D3's performance that he is sick of mashups? I think all of the judges should quit with the mashups now.

The producers are messing the show up, it getting only 8m for a live show compared to 12m two years ago. The BGT final could peak at 14m after a tumble during the semi-finals, I don't know if XF could. The results is probably the only thing that could save it, but it depends on the guests & result I think.

For me, the show goes on way too long, a trap that even Strictly Come Dancing is falling into.

I'm sure they could cut it down to about 60 minutes by cutting down with these endless V.T. clips and they could still lengthen the songs to their appropriate length.

No one came close to topping Little Mix's ET moment.

Yes it's often said that Little Mix won because "They were the best of a bad bunch" but I think they would have won easily this year as well.

I think the contestants are being way overstlyed and the songs / stage action stupidly over produced to compensate for the lack of quality. But its making them seem even worse and unlikeable.

They should just get up there and sing once in a while, but not like Scragend who is not good at all.

You won't be missing much!

Normally, I usually record it, as I can't abide the way it's stretched out, so I can zap through all the intros etc and get onto the peformances proper.

However, I normally keep one or two songs on "resume," and video them over the week, but this week, nothing totally stood out as being that exciting, or impressive that I've wanted to do that, so I've deleted it and am watching Strictly repeats instead!

I think of of the things people has to remember is that XF is the programme that is much more likely to be watched on demand than SCD, so really sites like DS should be posting the final ratings results.

I'm not denying its crap though. I used to love it until last years live shows, now not that bothered if I miss it, but will catch up on demand.

Now that XF USA is coming back, there's no chance of Cowell coming back which would have changed things. If Cowell came back it might have got its second peak, but can't see it now.

There's a reason for the weak performances:

Melanie and Carolynne are not there anymore. Seriously, Melanie could've stepped on the stage last night, sung "la la la" for two minutes, and still be the best performance of the night.....

Just imagine last night without District 3 (how awful and boring was their performance?) and Rylan, and with two great performances from Melanie and Carolynne?

Mash ups have had their day.

Sweet Dreams again.

Ella and Jade should sack their mentor. Ella made an epic song sound slow and boring and Jade made a edgy track sound slow and boring.

Bizzarely, Rylan wasn't too bad compared to them and to District 3 who were embarrasingly bad.

Jahmene probably the best (of a bad bunch), at least he didn't over sing it too much. Although I always think of About a Boy and the school talent show now when I hear this track.

Yeah, everything seems slow and off pace/key, over produced to me too. Bad song choices, styling, poor performances, no heart, fight and passion shown, emotion? Another weak show.

Yeah. I switched over at 9 for Boardwalk Empire.... I think the fact it was one song then an ad break, then another song and an ad break finsihed me off.... after nearly 30 mins I'd seen just two 90 second performances????
I watched later on fast forward - I highly recomend that approach to everyone.
Aside from the turgid turns another nadir was when fag-breath chummily referred to someone as her "l'il' cup cake"..... she should just shut her stinking gob and cease trying to resurrect her "l'l muffins" catchphrase of last year.

I was out last night so watched it this morning fast forwarding through the crap bits.

I have to say, it was really poor. Bad karaoke, poor song choices, weak vocals and hideous styling. James and Jahmene stood out as head and shoulders above the rest for me last night and I've not previously been a fan of either. The rest were either so bad, it wasn't funny (Rylan, Chris and Jade fall into that category) or so 'meh' I can barely remember them

Agree with all the negative comments.

It was just tedious at times. No endearing moments at all

I thought contestants would have got over this "i'll take the comments on board" rubbish by now. Everyone says it. They got no personality or originality.
