"You're/She's/I'm......only sixteen"
Anyone keep track of how many times it was mentioned last night? By everyone including Robbie.

Yes it is annoying, it was annoying when Frankie'd age kept being mentioned and does anyone remember " The Apprentice's "Stuart Baggs - The Brand" from a couple of years ago? He was only 21 didn't you know?

I think - so what.
Michael Jackson was 10 when he had is first hit record, Little Jimmy Osmond about the same age when he had a No1 hit record, Destiny's Child were all 16 when they had their first major success, Stevie Wonder, Vanessa Paradis,. And we could go on... It is nothing new. Perhaps it is the show and it's producers trying in vain to stay relevant ....... |

To be fair, Ella is not the first contestant to have this, Diana had it, Janet had it, even Cher had it last year.
Heck Lucy this year is jumping on it "I'm only 21" it's probably mentioned a lot because Ella comes across as more mature than some of the much older acts! |

I think she should perform Sam Cooke - Only Sixteen at some point.

Yes, you know but not everyone watches the show every week. Anyway, it is true and I don't understand why it bothers people on here so much. Anything just to have a go at Ella me thinks.

I don't think she'd get the same in America as they have so many young singers even younger than 16 it wouldn't be a big deal there.
They say it to her a lot though lol. i think in almost every show it's been said. |

I really like her, my fave of the girls but the reason I asked was why the judges keep bringing it up? I wouldn't have had a clue what her age is and no interest for that matter. Its like she has no personality or identity as far as the judges think and she's known as Ella the 16 year old. Give her some frickin' credit and enough with mentioning her age all the time.

She says when it's not even relevant "I'm the youngest in the competition, but I'm having so much fun," What has her age got to do with it? It's bordering on ridiculous. Quote:

![]() Or What's my Age Again - Blink 182, then in the judges comments they can remind us...again. |

I'll be honest, I actually find pretty funny, as it does remind me of a comedy sketch.
