Yeah, I wondered. It just seemed like Brendan turned up at the perfect moment, and knew everything that was happening. It wasn't clear though. Might have been a coincidence. But I love the idea that Ste just called him and asked him to sort Pauline out for him.

Hm perhaps they never intended this to happen? Maybe with the rethink they decided to explore Ste's past more and had to tweak things. But I really don't know.

That would have been really interesting. Just seeing that few minute Brendan/Pauline scene fascinated me.

I don't get why people argue about this stuff.

Certain people like certain characters more than others. If you like that character and they do something bad(within some sort of reason), you're more than likely going to find it easier to forgive them. If you don't like them, you won't, especially if they do something bad to a character you like.

It's like family. If someone random did something, you wouldn't think twice about reporting them in most cases. But when it's family, you more than likely don't

Hmmm, I wonder if it was intentionally half arsed and Ste reveals all about Terry when Pa arrives? Like, it links in somehow?

I think they originally wanted Stug to be the model relationship, but over time HO seems to have turned Brendan into a better person (on the way at least) and Doug to be possessive and controlling, thus making Stendan a model relationship.
Also, what could Emmett have meant in his interview about the one you end up with and the one you never forget? Hmm...

He really did, yes. He was just enraged that Brendan was able to help Ste, where he'd just made it all worse. I thought for a second he might take his turn at trashing the deli

but he chose to go to the cops instead. Dear oh dear.

Anyway, I also loved the Tony/Cindy stuff tonight. And Myra. And Esther was pretty immense. Great stuff really.

That's the saddest thing about it all I find, because at this point, just Ste wanting and being able to get out of this relationship for himself would be standing on his own two feet, nothing to do with Brendan.

I hate all this how hating a character equals hating the actor too

can people not understand the difference

and more than likely cos you hate a character it means the actor is very good so how are you hating. Annoys me so much.

I think he just means Ste will never forget Brendan (love of his life) but they won't be together for the very long term & Ste will end up with someone else. It's only cos Emmett will leave soon and not cos they won't be together.

... I have no words. I thought they didn't have the guts to turn him into... this, and yet they did. I don't know if I should be glad that they're not painting him as angel!Doug anymore or annoyed because he reported Brendan

I really hope both Ste and Brendan spit on his face when this is over, though.

I'm totally mystified about what it can be, unless it's drugs. Wonder if we'll find out tomorrow, or if they'll keep it as a secret and it'll all blow up just before the wedding?

It's soap though, it's not that dramatic. I can see that route if Ste decided he was choosing neither of them as his final decision but not when he's ultimately getting with Brendan.
