I don't think that he decides anything. He knows that he loves him, but he can't accept it because he probably thinks that it's "wrong". After a counselling session he probably understands and accepts that loving someone is not something to be ashamed of. It's something beautiful

I know it's just speculation, but you can almost just assume it would happen with Brendan and JP

The show just can't resist going there with Brendan and the shags it seems. Any male they bring in involved in the story. Just over a month after Walker, he just had to shag Eoghan too, even with all the Stendan getting closer and Stug fighting and Ste catching him and not knowing how he'd take it. He'd still do it if given the chance.
