That's what I really loved about last nights episode. It was Old!Brendan incorporated with New!Brendan, showing that he's changed, but he's not changed so much that he's not recognisable at all. He's still the same man who is just no longer a drug dealing homophobic, psychopathic gay man, as Emmett used to like to say.

He still has the same quips and will make Doug feel like a fool, but he's not doing it to be a bad man convincing innocent Doug () to do his dirty work, he's doing it because he's turned over a new leaf

I wonder if that's their intention, or whether near the beginning they tried for that explosive chemistry? I think at the start it was mainly Kieron doing all the work and not PJ in terms of kisses, but it's more equal now. They're okay, but I can't say they do much for me.

eff definitely said there was loads more about Ste in it, when she read the script (lucky cah). And then when Shawnee was talking to Doug, she said something like, all you managed to get out of him was stuff about his ex-boyfriend - and Brendan barely mentioned him, so they obviously changed it. Mysterious.

I know that Stendan haven't exactly had there smiley moments but the look of love Ste gives to Brendan is a hell of a lot more real then how he looks at Doug

See I didn't expect much but we were supposed to see Doug feeling guilty I didn't get that i just thought he's too scared to do it and doesn't think it will work. No guilt at all, maybe that will be more evident today cause I think he will trick Ste or Cheryl into saying something.

It might fit with Brendan going to Dublin if it was Ste, if he thinks Ste's that desperate to get him out of his life then he'll do the selfless thing and leave him to be happy.

I wonder if Cheryl will mention to Doug and Ste that Brendan's gone. Doug will look all panicked and Ste all concerned

I don't know if she counts as a general viewing audience member, but my sis calls Doug "Ste's boring wife." So if she's typical, I don't think many are getting red hot vibes off them.
