Hello
![]() Sones is joint second which casts aspersions on Barlow's ability to detect a good vocal. But at least he has an excellent sense of smell. |

It actually says Christopher hit the most bum notes, with Jahmene coming in joint second with Kye and Rylan so the title is misleading it should either be 'christopher hits the most bum notes' or 'christopher, rylan, jahmene and kye hit the most bum notes'.

Interesting. Jahmene often sounds out of tune to me, but the judges will have none of it.

I thought Lucifer being horribly flat for most of the start last week would have tipped those people off who still defend him.
I did say so at the time, but some are just too lost to find their way back. He is a collection of unspeakable, unwatchable and unlistenable evils. |

Why am I not surprised that Ella sang the least bum notes.

"In reality Rylan sang fairly well in tune, hitting the same number of flat notes as both Kye and even show favourite Jahmene."
That is 2 less than Chris, but still a total of 8...if this is to be believed? Wow? I'd love to know who these "experts," are..and I hope they're being well paid! ![]() Rich. x |

It's been a musical wasteland most weeks.
Ella being the only consistent one. |

However, maybe it's a question of the accusation levelled at Mozart in "Amadeus," of "too many notes," given the number he gets through, he often adds, countless numbers of notes with all the embellishing he does and, if they sat down, listened and counted all of those, good luck to them! ![]() Rich. x |

This news does not surprise me, oranges don't have vocal cords so trying to squeeze out perfect notes is a fruitless exercise.

So there goes the argument that those of us who don't get Christopher are not being fair because he's the best singer.

Woo Jade. I knew that she's a technically good singer, she just needs to learn how to breathe so she can perform and sing at the same time.
I thought Jahmene was the best last night but I sometimes wish he'd leave the notes alone and not over-do it. Less is more. Plus, I don't think James does bum notes, more 'constipated bum' notes. At the end of the day a few bum notes here and there doesn't necessarily make something less enjoyable and that's the main thing music should be. |

I'd disagree with some of these.
What IS 63336? Is this a PR stunt? How far off do they count as a bum note? Are they just counting flats? What about general accuracy? What about the difficulty of the song? |

It depends on the severity of it and whether it's happening in such a way that totally detracts from the performance, i.e. if a singer is totally "off," for whole lines/sections of a piece..then it can become excrutiating to listen to and to be honest, there's no-one among them that is that bad..not even Rylan! .....if they were, then they've no business being there IMO..We always see plenty of examples of people who sing consistently out of tune in the auditions..you know, the ones we're meant to cringe/laugh at? Jahmene has a good voice but I think he has little control over it. I thought the judges were meant to help solve that.

I thought I was going deaf last night when the judges savaged Jade over her vocals. I KNEW she had one of the best singing performances last night. What a joke. She has been very strong vocally every week. She just needs to work on her performing a bit. Even then she just oozes star quality.
