With the judges, she was flicking her foot all the time, like she can't keep it still at all. Maybe this is a residue from her ballet.

It's a recognised disorder, something like Pirouettes.

That is so funny! Best post of the night!

It was another irritating thing (like the yahs) that someone will have to tell her about.

Poor Darcey! In spite of being (along with Craig) one of the best judges on the panel, giving really helpful advice without any nasty comments, she is slated for her mode of speech (yah) and now she's getting stick for foot tapping

After she reined in the "yeah"s, it was inevitable that some other trivial reason would be found for criticising her.

It shows there isn't any major problem with her as a judge.

Indeed.

Can't applaud her for constantly marking Dani down, but to critique on her foot tapping is just silly.

Darcey is lovely on SCD. She is a vast improvement on Arlene & Alesha.

She might flick her foot but she has stopped all that 'yah' stuff having watched herself and realised how often she'd said it!!!

She does. I do too. I find it impossible to stop even when people sit on my leg to stop me. As habits go it's not the end of the world. I'd flick my foot through Lens Lens if I had to sit through it too!

And to be fair to Darcey, she did explain why she did all those yahs to begin with. When she's coaching dancers she is always looking for a response, to be sure they've got it, hence the question after every sentence.

Personally I think it's time to leave her alone and let her get into the role; I can't imagine anyone - even the people mooted as replacements - would do a brilliant job right off the bat - tv just isn't like that.

No flick tonight, or very little; certainly not constant flicking. Does she read the forums ?

Totally agree, I find her to be an absolutely refreshing change.

I do the same as Darcey & have never done any ballet. I do it wihout realising it - both my sisters do it too, perhaps it's a genetic thing a foot flicking gene.

It must be a nervous thing. It doesn't get to me as much as her voice
